Chapter Ten
Angela's point of view
Angela, wake up. "David (my younger brother ) said hit very hard me, which make me jump out of the bed
"Are crazy David? how dare you hit me like that? respect your elder or else I'm going to break your head. "I say as I chase him around the room
"Elder on my foot, by the way, mummy and Daddy are waiting for you downstairs. "he and run out of my room. I lock the door at the back and go back to bed, I don't know why I'm getting tired easily these days. just let me rest a little and join them later.
"The raising of the sunlight shone through the window to my face as I flushed my eyes opened and I let out a soft yawn.
" It's morning already. "I say robbing my eyes.
"No, It's noon you lazy girl, how dare you go back to bed after waking you up? you even have the heart to lock the door at the, well thanks your star that I stole your extra key because I won't mind breaking your ugly door. "he says with a mocking voice
"How dare you take my extra key? do you have a death wish? now, drop my key and leave my room" I say and sprung onto the bed before heading to the bathroom, I need to freshen up.
A few minutes later
I walked out of the bathroom with a blue towel rap around my body, I walk to my dressing mirror and applied my body cream, I pick up a simple gown from my wardrobe to wear. I comb my hair and packed it in a ponytail style, before handing it to the sitting room.
I enter the sitting room and see our family in the dining, I think they are about to have lunch. Gosh!! I've not had my breakfast and they are ready to eat their lunch, what a family. The clicking of my heels makes my present know to them
"You have been sleeping lately these days, are you okay princess?" my mummy asked looking concerned.
"just a little tired, good morning Dad, good morning mom. "I greet them with a smile as I serve my food
"How are you doing dear?" Daddy asked and face what his doing
"How are you doing princess?" mom asks, with a light smile which makes my annoying brother hiss out loud
"morning by this time!! is this how you go to lecture late every day? I wonder how you maintain your good grade. "he said and I bit my lips to suppress my anger.
He keeps on annoying me till I finished my meal. I clean my mouth with a napkin.
"I can't wait to finally kill you. "I say immediately after eating, David was about to run out of the dining when my mummy speak up.
"Angela your Daddy needs to talk to you. "my mummy said, and I know that something is not right immediately, even David's face turn from playful to serious
"Angela did you know that the Smith family are the second richest in this country?" he asked and I nod in reply
"My friend, Don Smith, and I decided to march you and his heir together for the benefit of our company. In conclusion, my friend and his son were having dinner here tomorrow. "I know this we happen one day, but I don't expect it to be sooner like this, my elder brother and sister also married an unknown, till now, my sister lives in an unhappy marriage, same as my elder brother. Even if I don't mind marrying the person my father is talking about, I we not agree because of my younger brother.
"I'm not interested Dad, and I can never marry someone that I don't love, I have a right to marry whoever I love not who you asked me to marry. "I say and his hand lands on my cheek, I smile bitterly
"How dare you speak to me in that manner, your mother and I never know each other before our parents join us together, see now we are cool. "he shouts angrily
"That is what I'm talking about, did you ever ask for my mother's opinion as a wife before you do anything, in this marriage? you do what you like because you didn't love her, I know you don't love her, that is why you treat her like trash, you may force my elders but you can't force me to do what I don't like. "I say and I see him raise his hand to slap me again, but my brother was fast enough to receive it for me. My father hit the dining table suddenly, I don't know why I'm feeling sluggish but I pass out
