Theo's pov
I looked at grandfather from the computer screen.
"Is this a trick??" I asked when he smiled, I felt extremely happy. I told him my riddle but it seemed that was easy for someone of his age. I missed Adira, we hardly play but when we do, it was so jolly.

Using the elevator, Theo came downstairs. Grandpa Roux was once a mafia so he had several things a house wasn't meant to have.
"Theo boy, that was so smart." Grandpa Roux congratulated him with a smile.
"Grandpa.. you are so smart, I'll like to be like you." Theo said while hugging grandfather Roux on his legs.
"That's my boy, even your dad is so smart." Grandpa Roux added.
Taking Theo's hands in his, he took him to the large sitting room.
"Answer his questions almost honestly, okay??" Grandpa Heroux said giving him a pat on his head.
"Okay Grandpa... as you said no one can be trusted with any important information." Theo stated.
"That's true my boy, now go." he said and Theo walked to the man that was sitted on the couch.
"Ask him what you need to know for the investigation." Grandpa Roux said, relaxing on the couch.
The man had a black cap on and a mask, his face was hardly seen that when Grandpa Roux saw him at first, he had to call Liam to confirm and indeed Liam said that was how he always dressed.
"Sure sir." The man said.
"On the day of the incident, when you, Mr Knight, Jenner and your sis...
"No my mum!" Theo corrected with a rolling of his eyes. His grandfather had showed him evidence and gave him reasons why Theo should believe them.
"Okay... your mum, do you know anything that could bring us to the culprit??" The man asked.
Quietness engulfed the room for over thirty seconds, Theo looked lost at the moment before he sighed softly.
"My glasses.. Jenner carried me on her body as she ran, I woke up and saw Adira running at my back, her face panicked. So, I stretched to see why they were running but then while trying to adjust my glasses, it fell. I didn't see anything." Theo replied. After a moment, he shook his head.
"That's all." he concluded.
"You didn't see any marking on them??" the man asked slowly as if he was telling Theo to come clean.
"I saw, the same mark you have on you." Theo said and the man's hand almost shot to his neck but seeing the look on Theo's face, he laughed.
"I don't have any mark on me but if you can tell me the mark you saw then I can assure you we will find them." The man said.
"I didn't see any mark." Theo responded, standing up, he walked towards Grandpa Roux after saying goodbye to the man.
"Thanks sir for allowing us." The man said referring to grandfather Heroux.
"You can get going now." Grandpa Roux told him and the man walked away.
"Come here son." "Is there anything you are not saying??" Grandpa Roux asked Theo.
"Not really granny, it's just that Mum ran... she just deviated from where we were going but I couldn't see well since I didn't have my glasses on." His eyes were situated on the floor as he tried to remember what happened but he had already told himself that he would try to forget her.
She had left him before and she decided to do it again.

While taking off her clothes, Theo's glasses fell from her cloth, she didn't know that she still had it.
Looking at it, she kissed the lenses. 'My son's' she thought before taking her bath.
She hoped to be stronger than she was before, and with time, she knew she had to fulfill the promise she made to Mr Birkin years ago.
Looking at her self in the mirror, her memories flashed through her eyes and immediately she felt a sharp headache. Though she remembered everything, she couldn't think of it.
That night she had been devastated since she couldn't attend the program that could guarantee her success in her doctorate degree. She had stepped out to take a drink but it was more than that.
It became more than one drink....
