Room 23, No Tell Motel, Denver Colorado...
Late night had never been ideal for Alexei Ivan Bortnik to be alone, especially when he'd been heavily pregnant. Still, he had managed to make do with a few of his favorite snacks and plenty of reading material. He had not expected to have guests so late into the night, least of all the father of his unborn child when he'd been attempting to keep the nature of their relationship of sorts under wraps. From the moment Lex got the knock on the door and pulled it open, he had known that it had been Hadrian Rawsone himself when the older man leaned against the door instead of demanding to be let in.
Lex had been curious as to what brought The Good Doctor to his humble abode when they had not been discussing anything to do with the baby until he saw the rather blank look that filed across Hadrian's face. It appeared he'd been struggling with something as his current appearance indicated not just in the fact that he had shown up at all. His hair had been a mess and his eyes were more or less blank as he moved rather slowly inside the motel room.
"Hadrian?" said Lex closing the door behind him only to find the older man less inclined to speak.
The Good Doctor gripped Lex by the waist and pulled him close as he kneeled before him wishing to get on level with the baby that his former patient had been carrying inside his belly for a good few months. There was no doubt in his mind that he'd been the one to put the baby in Lex, their previous sex romps had been fragmented but certain as Hadrian kissed along the warm flesh of the blond lad's belly indicating that he had truly accepted what happened between them, and that he had indeed wanted this child.
Julia had been pregnant before her demise and there had been no guarantee that he'd been the father with her affair with Gary Sanders going on behind his back and there was the possibility that she'd even known it wasn't his and was attempting to pass it off as one of his children just as she had done in the past, the question of whether or not his daughter Jessica had truly been his came to mind and he had to force himself to stop thinking in those terms.
By all accounts, Jessica had been his only biological child with Samantha being the product of that vile Rhett Davis in high school, there wasn't any doubt that he'd been her father, at least not until he saw that tape of Julia confessing her love for Gary, the question of whether or not they'd been seeing each other the entire time had come to mind and once more Hadrian had stopped himself from questioning the only child he had in this world that he'd known of.
Unable to help himself, Hadrian simply hit his knees as Lex moved about attempting to comfort him.
"I'm sorry," he said softly as if plenty exhausted. "I know it's late...but I need to see you, to see our baby."
Lex sighed realizing that something had happened with Julia and the baby that had shaken The Good Doctor to his core.
"Hadrian what's got you so upset?" asked Lex unsure of what to do for the poor man who had meant so much to him at one point.
"Julia....she's....she's dead and so is the baby," replied Hadrian as if someone else had been speaking for him.
His life had not felt like his own for quite some time and it had still been surreal to conclude that Julia, his wife of twenty-something years had not only just died after losing what might have been their third child but that she had not truly loved him at all and was on the verge of leaving him for his so-called best friend Gary Sanders, the bastard that could have possibly been the father of the now dead baby boy that Hadrian had so badly wanted, and possibly the real father of Jessica all along.
The thoughts had been so strong and so painful that even with his therapy-shocked mind Hadrian Rawsone couldn't take it and he collapsed passing out much to Lex's shock and unstated horror.
"HADRIAN!" had been the last thing The Good Doctor heard before his world once more went black.
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Room 23, No Tell Motel, Denver Colorado...
The dark brown eyes of Lonnie Collins opened to find that he'd been in an all too familiar motel bedroom as he tried to make sense of the past few weeks which had gone by in a blur. He had been with Lex, that much he had gathered due to how clingy the blue-eyed blond had been and the fact that he'd been lying on Lonnie's chest unsure of what to do about his current condition. He had the feeling of being run down by a wayward truck and then some as he groaned while awakening, getting Lex's undivided attention.
"Lonnie?" he asked with an arched brow.
"Who the fuck are you calling Lonnie?" growled the rather groggy older man.
"Oh Daddy it is you," said Lex happily as he kissed him on the lips forgetting for a moment that he'd been still out of it.
"Of course, it's me, who the fuck else am I gonna be?" growled Lonnie already proving that he'd been in a sour mood. "I need a drink."
Lex sighed it was typical of Lonnie, barely getting his eyes open after a long and concerning blackout and he wanted to get his hands on alcohol straight away.
Lonnie yawned and looked around noticing that he'd been half naked and that Lex had been virtually so. He rolled his eyes and pulled the blond lad into his waiting kiss.
"I've missed you." said the lad happily despite the gruff greeting.
"Missed you too," replied Lonnie with a sigh. "So what's been going on while I was out of it?"
Lex proceeded to fill his lover in on the situation with The Bitch no longer being an obstacle and the fact that she'd lost the baby before her demise which had been something of a crushing blow to Hadrian Rawsone, who had a good deal of questions he didn't have the mind to want answered as he feared what they would be.
"Well good riddance to the bitch, but the kid... was another matter...I had a hand in possibly bein' the father of it despite what I told the bitch to her face, we fucked quite a few times before she went and did me in." Lonnie admitted. "Can't say that I'll miss her but the baby might have been mine."
Lex rolled his eyes trying his hardest to forget that Julia had ever even spread her legs for his man.
"Hey don't go getting your panties in a bunch you know I had to play the role," said Lonnie as he shifted his weight on the bed and pulled Lex into another heated kiss before placing a hand on the lad's bare belly. "Now this one here I know is mine."
Lex smiled and Lonnie kissed him once more as they embraced pleased to be together once more and finally free of the bitch known as Julia Rawsone.
