The Study, The Rawsone Residence, Denver, Colorado...
Doctor Hadrian S. Rawsone sat behind his large oak wood desk taking a few moments for himself following his attempts to get to know the friends of his daughters over the course of the meal his wife had prepared. He had a great many questions about what they had each been up to in college, he had only ever attended medical school and the rumors about college life had not been ideal for him even then. He had taken a liking to Lauren Marino, out of all the girls she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders and was quite passionate about art. So much so that Hadrian found himself chatting with her more often than not in terms of what her next great work would be while she asked to see a few of his old sketches. He spent a good deal of time working with her and Jessica on a new sketch that seemed to really pop off the page and was putting the finishing touches on it from his desk in his home office.
It was the first thing he'd been able to do since trying to get back into the swing of things so to speak. Hadrian took a few moments to look over his handiwork almost recalling how easily his sketches had come to him back in the good ol' days when he'd been just a teenager in high school. He had been anything but normal back then but he supposed he'd been average enough at best. Once he had finished his sketch the good doctor then turned his attention to his desk and the files that had been collected that he'd left on it.
With a sigh, he rooted through them until he came across the all too familiar file belonging to Alexei Ivan Bortnik. He had felt a sudden sensation of sickness fill him as he recalled just who Alexei had been and attempted to reconcile the small pale lad that hardly spoke with the now pregnant and admittable certifiably insane young man who carried his child.
He had not known how or why he had gotten the lad pregnant, a fact that seemed to disgust him even now, but he knew he had to tread carefully so as not to upset him least he do something rash like take off with his child or bring it or himself to harm only to spite him.
Hadrian had not really known how best to tread in the murky waters that seemed to become of his life once he'd returned from his most recent hospital stint. The good doctor felt more than a bit out of place as he looked over his old files, noting that it had been quite some time since he had gotten any work done on his end, and if it had not been for Maureen taking on his caseload, he might not have had a practice left to come back to at all.
With a sigh, Hadrian leaned back into his chair and closed his files taking a moment to at least process all that had transpired up to that point. He had a bit of trouble making sense of a lot of things especially when it came to how he had managed to impregnate his former patient in the first place. He'd been well aware that Alexei Bortnik had been born intersex but for him to engage him willingly in order to become pregnant was another matter.
The last he had seen of Alexei the boy, he'd been barred from having contact with him.
The mystery of his wife's odd behavior had not gone unnoticed either. Alexei had implied that Julia was deliberately the cause of his being locked in the mental institution and unable to recall much about his life at all let alone his years of marriage to her.
Hadrian did not know what to think as he sat back in his chair and pondered the direction his life had taken since awakening in the facility. As of what he'd known in that moment, he'd gotten his wife, his former patient, and a college girl pregnant in the same span of time and it wasn't something he saw himself being capable of let alone while he was still married to Julia. The good doctor was more than a little disappointed in his lack of faithfulness to his wife and the aspect of siring more than one baby out of wedlock, let alone with a young clueless girl barely in college.
Hadrian had not been alone long as he found himself in the company of Bethany Stevenson as she entered his office. She seemed to have been quite upset that he seemed to draw a bit closer to Lauren Marino during their discussion about Art and the like. She had no idea that Hadrian had an interest in anything like that but there was the fact that Dr. Rawsone had not actually been the one she'd been worried about getting close to the other more talented girl.
While Lonnie had essentially been a vulgar and selfish son of a bitch, she had liked him, he'd been the only person to give her attention even if it had been so that he could shove his enormous cock inside her and leave her pregnant.
Hadrian sighed as he looked up and met Bethany's gaze.
"Something I can do for you?" he asked with an arched brow as he shuffled with the files on his desk and tipped his reading glasses down his nose to get a better look at her.
"You like her more don't you?" said Bethany closing the office door behind her as she folded her arms across her chest.
"What are you talking about?" asked Hadrian unsure why they were even having this conversation, he wasn't even in the least interested in any one of the girls, or Alexei for that matter.
"That Marino girl, you like her better than me," said Bethany in a pouting tone.
Hadrian resisted the urge to roll his eyes coming to the conclusion that it was the pregnancy hormones that had her brain in an emotional state.
"Bethany, I hate to break it to you but I don't have an interest in anyone aside from my own wife," he replied honestly.
Bethany sighed slightly hurt by his admission before recalling just who she'd been speaking to.
"I saw the way you were with her," said Bethany still upset. "You want her too."
Hadrian sighed sensing something of a headache coming on. He had absolutely loathed confrontation and she was apparently intent on causing a problem for no good reason at all.
"Bethany don't be ridiculous, I have no interest in you or her for that matter, I just want to get through this weekend and back to my life with Julia and the girls...Now I already promised you I'd do whatever I can for you and the baby but you are taking this a bit too far," said Hadrian putting his foot down. "I am not nor will I ever be interested in either of you girls, What happened was a result of an illness and I am sorry that you got caught up in it but this is too much, I don't owe you anything in terms of a relationship aside from civility, now please go back downstairs and let me get back to work in peace."
Bethany rolled her eyes, recalling at that moment that she'd most definitely been speaking with Dr. Rawsone and that Lonnie, her Lonnie was long gone, at least for the moment.
She stormed downstairs and Hadrian got up from his desk and locked the door. He had enough to deal with and process without her getting caught up in the wave of pregnancy hormones that played tricks on her young mind.
