The Living Room, The Rawsone Residence, Denver, Colorado....
Julia Rawsone had cunningly put the first aspect of her plan into motion and successfully had her way with Lonnie despite his insistence that he wasn't remotely attracted to her. The next phase had been to alert the proper authorities to the deranged young man whom had been stalking and possibly kidnapped her husband. She made a quick call to detective Gordon about an intruder and given him the description of Alexei Bortnik before hanging up and turning her attention to the stereo system. She flipped on the device and once more found herself in search of her husband's favorite tune. The stereo turned on and sure enough his song played quite loudly throughout the house. She was sure that he could hear it from the bedroom as she often did whenever he elected to play it when he'd been in one of his moods. If all had gone according to her well timed plan, then Alexei Bortnik would be out of their lives for good.
{"You know I need your love....You've got that hold over me...Long as I've got your love...You know that I'll never leave...When I wanted you to share my life....I had no doubt in my mind...And it's been you, woman....Right down the line...."}
Julia had been hoping that Hadrian's song could reach him, in whatever dark place he'd been held captive in and come back to her and their daughters. Her gambit was just a hunch but she knew she had to at least try and get him back before the little weasel that ruined their lives did any further damage.
Hadrian Rawsone had played this song over and over again ever since their marriage and each time it was something of an anthem as to how he felt about her. She supposed that it was as close to a wedding song as she was ever going to get considering they were two kids barely out of high school when they married and became parents.
Still, over the nineteen years since their marriage, Hadrian Rawsone had always been a fan of this song, especially when trying to remind her and their daughters just how much he still loved them.
Julia had only hoped that he sill felt the same about her as he once did otherwise she had already lost him to Alexei even before the first phase of her plan could begin.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The Master Bedroom ,The Rawsone Residence, Denver, Colorado....
Alexei Bortnik seemed puzzled as to why Julia had chosen to put on music all of the sudden when he set to work getting dressed following his shower with Lonnie, whom had still been under the water. The both of them had their fill of Colorado and Julia Rawsone and planned to finished their long interrupted road trip. Lonnie had finally gotten out of the bathroom and dressed in navy blue suit slacks, a long sleeve white shirt and was trying his best to tie his tie but for some reason it wouldn't adhere to his movements. The steam from the shower filled the bedroom as Lex, now properly dressed in a t shirt and jeans with his black and white sneakers on, attempted to assist him.
Lonnie seemed to be quite agitated as Lex stood before him, his hair still slick from their much needed shower.
"What....what the hell?" asked Lonnie as he heard the music from upstairs.
"Apparently she's playing music." replied Lex with a smirk. "A little late to drown out the noises thought."
Lonnie smirked before kissing Lex on the lips and patting him on his jean covered backside.
"Yeah, this is my way of tellin' you....That every day I'm lovin' you so much more...If I should doubt myself...If I'm losing ground....I won't turn to someone else...They'd only let me down..." he suddenly began to sing along with the music.
Lex looked at him confused for a moment before finishing up with his tie.
"When I wanted you to share my life...I had no doubt in my mind....And it's been you, woman...Right down the line." Lonnie continued singing before he suddenly stepped away from Lex and doubled over from what seemed to be a good deal of pain in his head.
"Lonnie?" asked Lex concerned for his lover.
"L-Lex...J-Jules?"began Lonnie only for his eyes to roll into the back of his head and he collapsed onto the floor.
"LONNIE!" shouted a very upset Lex as he rushed toward his side.
Julia heard the commotion and rushed up the stairs.
"What did you do to him?" she asked narrowing her eyes at Lex.
"N-Nothing I...we just got out the shower and he asked me to tie his tie and then he was singing...whatever song you played and he just collapsed." said Lex frantic. "What's wrong with him?"
"Like I know...you were the one's up here having marathon sex." growled Julia as she hovered over her husband's body.
"He's never collapsed like that before." insisted Lex. "And we've had sex like that plenty of times."
"Well it's no wonder, he's probably exhausted." said Julia.
Lex had not known what to do but he was clearly terrified about losing Lonnie all over again. He began to question if Julia had been right, if all the sex and lack of rest had been the cause of his collapse.
"There is a such thing as moderation." said Julia twisting the knife.
Lex glared at her for a moment.
"Like I've said before, he's never collapsed from sex before and what you saw was us being...moderate due to you being downstairs." he dished back.
Julia wasn't to be denied as she heard the sirens in the distance.
"That's got to be the ambulance." she said urgently.
Lex had been so preoccupied by Lonnie's collapse that he was ripe for the picking. Julia didn't hesitate to twist the knife further. There was a noise that signaled the arrival she'd been waiting for and before they knew it, the cops arrived, Det. Gordon especially.
They happened upon them quickly with guns drawn. Lex was caught heavily off guard by their appearance and had little time to process what Julia had done. Det. Gordon had his men arrest him while Julia informed them that Alexei Ivan Bortnik was the one responsible for Hadrian Rawsone being kidnapped three months earlier.
Hadrian stirred despite being dazed much to Lex's relief just as the officers cuffed and dragged him out of the house. Julia breathed a sigh of relief when she took note of her husband looking about the room so obviously confused.
"Hadrian?" she asked testing the waters.
"Jules?" he replied unsure why his head had been hurting. "Did...did I hit my head at some point?...it feels like there's someone drumming on my brain in there."
He rubbed his forehead and took note of the officers that surrounded them.
"Officer Gordon?" he asked.
"Detective." replied Det. Gordon in a gruff tone. "Do you know where you are?"
"Home." replied Hadrian. "Although, I recall collapsing in my office...I don't know how I got here."
"Apparently you and Mrs. Rawsone were attacked by an intruder, we've apprehended him and he's going to be out away." Det. Gordon assured him.
"What!?" asked Hadrian a bit upset about the update.
"Relax Hadrian everything is fine now, you'll see." Julia urged him.
"Okay." he said still reeling from the strangeness of the events.
Julia and Detective Gordon assisted him in getting to sit on the edge of the bed.
Hadrian seemed a little worse for ware but was otherwise alright.
"You get some rest, well sort the rest of this mess out later." said Julia.
Hadrian grabbed her hand.
"I'm sorry I wasn't much help during this." he said feeling a bit ashamed.
Julia sighed and ran her free hand along his water slick hair.
"Me too." she replied. "But get some rest, you've had a long day."
Hadrian nodded and attempted to do just that as he unraveled his tie and unbuttoned his shirt. Julia and Det. Gordon filed out of the bedroom intent on contending with Alexei Bortnik.
