Chereads / DragonTale / Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Riu Micgrove woke with a terrible feeling. He didn't miss the daily box, that's for sure. Not long after he woke up, his alarm went off. He blindly reached over to turn it off before getting out of bed. That weekend just flew on by, well he did spend most of it in DragonTale, trying to level up.

"That game is just too hard." He grumbled, tossing on a shirt.

Riu made his way into the bathroom and looked hard into the mirror. Since he spent hours inside playing games, he was extremely pale. His hair, which was as white as snow, curled up at his ears.

"I need a haircut."

Bright purple eyes stared back at him from the mirror. No one could ever understand why he looked this way, some say he was a mutant while some doctors say it had something to do when I was born.

Not that he'd know anything. After brushing his teeth, he went downstairs to be greeted by his foster mother, Kaira. She was a woman of few words, only talking to her actual kids and husband. She was a beautiful woman though, with long, brown hair, fair skin and blue eyes. She was cooking breakfast. She just nodded at him. She was never one to mistreat someone but she definitely kept her distance.

Riu took a piece of toast, put his shoes on, grabbed his bag and left. There was still an hour till school, but he wanted to go to the library and play some games before school. He would have likes to play at home but he would lose track of time.

"Hello Riu." The librarian was a nice old lady who often greeted Riu, as he was a frequent guest.

"Hello." Riu slightly bowed his head before heading for the computers.

Sitting at his favorite spot in the corner, he put the earphones on and turned DragonTale on.

{Welcome back, Ark4259}

Riu huffed as he saw his skill window, it was probably the best in the game but his level and rank were still low. He kept dying and losing exp. His window looked something like this: {Ark4259:Rank:D level:15 title:all rounder special skill: Ghost skills: copy, fusion, healing flame, frost bite, mana bullet, spear fighting, special senses. Weapons: spear:Ghost-skills: mana slicer, shadow slicer, eat.}

His stats thankfully stayed the same even after death. Riu played in the tower this time, to avoid death. All to soon it was time to go.

Before he got to exit the website, a message popped up.

{Ark4259, as a thank you for playing our game, we will gift you next time you come on. The game will be shutting down.}

All Riu could do was stare at it. It didn't even make sense. He quickly closed out and hurries to school. The way there wasn't that long, the library was pretty close. He always got there just in time.

"One of these days, your going to be late." Riu turned at the voice of his best friend.

Ember Nakimari was student council president cheerleader captain. She has bright red hair, emerald green eyes and freckles across her face.

"Hey Ember." Riu smiles as she glared at him

"Stop playing that stupid game of yours, you'll end up late one of these days." She said, flipping her hair back.

"I'm never late and I get good grades." He said, walking alongside her to class.

"True I guess." She turned at a door and waved Riu off.

Riu walked the rest of the way to his class alone, the hallways were empty, only a few students here and a teacher there, so why did he have this unshakeable ominous feeling?
