An energy blast hits Rick's fleet's force field. Hitting It makes a blue smoke cloud disperse. "Alright FIRE!!!" Rick shouts "Firing sir!" the CW says, sending a message to the ships to fire at the enemy. Ships from his fleet charge Mr. Arkridge's army. The Battle begins with ships from both sides taking casualties. In the main ship, Mr. Arkridge walks through the control room. "We have received 8% damage to our overall fleet but gained the advantage in the battle," one of the CWs says out loud. Looking out the window with Tristan, "He thinks that his faction along with his allies is enough to get rid of us." says Mr. Arkridge. As Tristan observes the battle, he sees the battle raging on in the vast space, illuminating the sky as it looks like fireworks.
"Charge the main phase cannon, then lock onto the enemy's main ship, and inform our fleet to prepare to dodge." Preparing the cannon, it shoots an energy beam through space, hitting many black faction ships. "Route full power to the thruster now!!" Rick shouts. Working fast the CWs puts in the inputs, converting power to the thrusters, moving the main ship to the left slightly, and barely dodging the beam that damages the side, rumbling the inside of the ship with minor damage to the right side. "We have sustained 30% damage to the right tail end of the ship, deploying force field to shield from further damage." the CW says to Rick as he stumbles to the ground losing his footing.
Collecting his footing, Rick checks the casualties in his fleet "dammit our fleet has taken considerable losses; we need to come up with a plan to counter." Rick thinks to himself, and he suddenly gets an idea. " Send an order out to have our fleet ships retreat towards us, then begin preparations to fire the phase cannon," Rick says to his CWs. "But our ships will be hit!" one of the CWs responds saying to Rick. "They knew what they signed up for...prepare to fire!" The Black-market faction's fleet ships swing towards their main ship with the E.A.U [Advance Evolutionary Union] ships shooting while pursuing them. As they get within range Rick gives the order to fire the phase cannon, releasing a blaster at his fleet ships. Dodging, Rick's ships move out of the way as the blast rips through E.A.U ships, taking some of them out along with his own. A chain reaction of explosions sounds, "sir we've lost 15% of our ships!" a CW tells Rick.
Shocked by the sudden blast Mr. Arkridge is dumbfounded by the black-market faction, and the decision to sacrifice some of his soldiers. "Tristan, you see that? That is what not to do as a leader never throw away useful soldiers, every pawn has its role." Mr. Arkridge tells Tristan "Sir the damage report has come in, we lost around 9% of our fleet to that blast but the Black-Market faction received more damage than we did." the CW tells Mr. Arkridge...back to Xavier on Minda X1 it is nighttime, and he is currently repairing the damages to his ship. "It's been a few days since I crash-landed here, it is taking a lot longer to fix the ship than I anticipated." Xavier walks around the ship observing the ship before he heads back in, inside the ship Xavier walks to the storage room, "I am running out of food, there is only about 5 days' worth of food left...how much damage needs to be fixed to be able to leave this planet?" Xavier asks the ship's A. I
"The ship is running at 50% max capacity...20% more repairs and power is needed to be able to leave the planet." the A. I respond saying back to Xavier. In his office, Xavier thinks of where he is going to head once he leaves the planet. "Mmhmm I'm pretty sure that the war has already started, I can use that to get into the Depix system and get in the Canaan settlement. I want to head back and take over the settlement while there aren't that many soldiers there." Xavier thinks out loud to himself. The next day in the morning Xavier says, " Are there any shortcuts I can use to get us in the sky as fast as possible?" he asks the A.I. while getting up and walking to the cockpit. "....it would be safer to repair the last 20% to be sure that there aren't any malfunctions." Suddenly a light starts glowing from inside his chest "!? what's going on!?" Xavier says as low heat waves begin emitting from Xavier unconsciously.
"...warning...warning unknown low radiation wave detected in the ship", the A. I said while scanning the internal of the ship and also scanning Xavier "...you have a build-up of radiated energy; this energy can be used to replace the lacking power supply, and energy used to power the core of the ship." said the A. I. Xavier makes his way to the power core while he glows. Moments later, Xavier stands in front of the power core. "How do I transfer the power to the core?" Xavier shouts to the A. I ".... place your hand onto the shell of the core and the core will absorb the radiated kinetic energy from you." Placing his hand onto the outer shell of the energy core, the power core starts draining the energy from Xavier. "Urgh!!" the surging intensifies, and Xavier's hand is stuck to it. "Hey what's going on my hand won't move!" Xavier shouted, ".... please calm down...you and the core are just having a magnetoelectric effect, it will stop once the energy emitting from you stops, just calm your breathing." the A. I said to Xavier.
After 10 minutes the emitting energy from Xavier subsides and he collapses to the ground breathing heavily, ".... power received...only 13% repairs needed now." the A.I. informs Xavier. Getting on his feet, Xavier stumbles to check the module to see how the core is running. "...alright this is good news. I can have this up and running in three days." Over the next three days, Xavier repairs the ship getting it in the best condition possible. Sitting in the cockpit Xavier prepares to take off. "Finally, it's time to head home!" while starting the thrusters Xavier's ship floats off the ground before shooting into the sky and into the atmosphere, breaking through into space. Xavier lets out a sigh of relief. " Alright set a course to the Canaan Settlement in the Depix system, then activate autopilot and set the destination." The A.I. took control of the ship, taking Xavier to the Depix System.
Some time passes and Xavier flies through space, eating some food in a heated packet. " The food will be gone in two days. I need to prepare an actual plan for when I arrive in the Depix system if I want to do something that will affect father before they get back from the battle." Xavier says out loud then goes to his office to brainstorm. 7 hours later when Xavier is almost out of the Rees System, a loud sound rips through space shaking the very air inside and outside of the ship. " Dammit, it's that Shinke!" Xavier shouts, surprised by the sudden sound he runs to the cockpit, " give me control over the ship!" piloting the ship Xavier turns the power up and goes as fast as possible. Bursting out of a subspace rift, a Shinke appears. It sees Xavier's ships and chases after him. "Hey...what is the chance of that thing catching us?" Xavier asks the A.I., "there is a 30% probability that it will catch us, only if the ship receives damage."
Flying as fast as he possibly can Xavier races past the Meteorites, he steers the ship perpendicular to it dodging them. "I'm increasing the power to the thrusters!" Xavier shouts while pressing the buttons on the front module "...warning...warning any more power and the thruster will blow." the A.I. tells Xavier "It is now or never, have a little faith." While increasing speed, Xavier is pushed back into his seat, and he gains more distance from the Shinke. Xavier checks his radar of the Shinke, "good we are getting away!" Shaking violently the ship rattles hard, "Warning...Warning, lower the speed or the right thruster will malfunction." the A.I. say to Xavier.
Escaping the Shinke Xavier exits the Rees system, Xavier is finally in the clear and able to ride in peace. he takes a moment to catch his breath "Alright, activate autopilot and keep this course to the Depix system. We need to make up for the lost time." The autopilot takes over and Xavier goes to rest for the remainder of the day, traveling through space Xavier races against time to the Canaan settlement before the A.E.U fleet.
