Jeong-Eun, on the other hand, reached the second floor and took a deep breath. He found the second floor to be adequately lit, better than the reception area. He started walking carefully scanning every room on that floor.
All the doors were locked shut. The violet walls of the corridor were covered with black prints. Even though the floor had light, the dark colour of the walls and heavy doors were making it darker. He looked at every door of every room. The heavy doors pointed him that this was not a cheap motel, it was just designed to look like that.
Suddenly he heard a chuckle. His feet stopped. He was not sure which direction the sound was from. He even stopped breathing to better listen to where that sound came from. He kept his eyes and ears open hoping the hear the sound again. And there it was, another chuckle that grew into a giggle.
