Taylor sweated profusely when he looked at the four bodies on the ground. Three were writhing in pain, either fully conscious or semi-conscious and only the 'strongest' Knight Squire was unconscious.
He laughed lightly, not really believing the sight in front of him.
"If I knew that you guys were so weak, I would have never bothered about keeping a low profile. You guys felt like real threats before…" Taylor was not satisfied with himself. It felt ridiculous that he had held back against fighting his bullies. He could only be punished officially if he was seen doing something.
That meant he could have tormented his bullies when nobody saw it, which was something Taylor realized only now after he got to know that the Knight Squires weren't even physically stronger than him!
"It's more like you've become stronger, not that they're too weak" Eris' voice reached him and he turned to her with a sly grin.
"You think so as well? Then it's fine, I guess," Taylor shrugged his shoulders. He was satisfied enough with the sight in front of him. The Knight Squires may have bullied him but his mind adjusted to the bitter truth of the society much faster thanks to that.
"I learned a few important lessons about society and the gap between normies and awakened thanks to these idiots. I know how to endure a few hits now as well."
In the end, it was never good to bully anymore, which was why he didn't feel like tormenting them anymore. He had more problems to solve, either way.
"Okay…if you feel like these lessons were helpful…okay. I would prefer not to get hit and kill everyone before they can even touch me" Eirs looked at him disapprovingly, but Taylor didn't seem to listen to hear as he looked at the writhing bodies of his former bullies.
"Consider yourself lucky. I was nice to you guys because today is a happy day," Taylor declared and Eris could only nod her head.
He awoke the Ancient Power to control fire, his mother's book was some sort of unique magical book that provided him with knowledge, and he gained enough strength to beat his opponents to a pulp.
"If not for my grace, you would be dead by now…or all of you would be knocked out, burning to death, at the very least" Taylor added to make sure that the Knight Squires understood the point.-
Afterward, he ignored their entire existence and allowed them to fight for their own life. With a bright expression, he left the dormitory, satisfied with himself and the world.
"You think they'll survive the attack of the Shedim?" Eris asked all of a sudden, following his every step. She was curious about how much Taylor had changed and the answer she received was more than satisfying.
"No idea," Taylor shrugged his shoulders. He was not really bothered about what would happen to them.
"I hope they die, either burned to death or tortured by the Shedim…" Eris revealed her honest thoughts to Taylor, who could only look at her, his lips pressed together.
Sometimes, he was really not sure what Eris wanted in the mortal realm. For someone like Eris, it shouldn't be interesting here, yet, she was always by his side. It was as if she was his Guardian Angel, just a little bit devilish….quite a lot devilish…
However, she was fun to have around, a lot more than Taylor would openly acknowledge.
He smiled lightly at her before his gaze moved over the academy grounds. The small forest next to the school building was ablaze turning into cinder, while the wet grass from the heavy rain the day before had extinguished most of the remaining flames.
"It must be over by now," Taylor presumed because he couldn't hear any pained screams, the unearthly sounds of the Shedim, or the sound of battle.
Eris didn't say anything and Taylor quickly noticed why. Her whole attention was drawn to him, his body, to be precise.
Her big purple eyes glistered and Taylor felt like she would start drolling at any moment.
He looked down at his body and saw that his abdomen was partially revealed. The flames he had removed from his body to fight his former bullies had burned holes in his clothes.
"Again burned…at least some clothes to cover my body," Taylor instinctively grumbled but Eris shook her head quickly.
"You can reveal more skin if you want to! Nobody could complain…no sane women, at least~" She didn't speak loud but Taylor could clearly her excitement at the thought of him revealing more of his body.
He halted in his tracks and blinked a few times before he couldn't hold it anymore.
"Since when did you turn so thirsty?" Taylor asked, laughing lightly, not expecting Eris to answer him dead-serious.
"I was always like that. I'm just good at hiding it."
'She turned insane' He realized and he began to shake his head.
"Do you have a problem with my true self?" Eris asked all of a sudden. Taylor glanced over to her, which was why he could easily see that she was sulking.
"Do whatever you want," He shrugged his shoulder and went in the direction the fights had been before.
He was exhausted and his sight was not completely clear anymore but he wanted to see something.
The Bronze-badge Knight of the Academy must be fighting the Lesser Demons of the Shedim group. Taylor wanted to figure out how much stronger a Knight with a one-star Bronze badge was in comparison to the few bullies he defeated without too much difficulty.
After all, he might 'accidentally' offend a bunch of proper Knights in the future.
Taylor could already tell that he would offend lots of people in the future. He was pretty good at that, after all.
Thus, when he stepped in the direction where the Knight Squires had formed a small defensive line had been formed before.
Not much time should have passed since the Demon attack had started, even if it felt like an eternity for Taylor.
A lot had changed for him but even the four students that had pursued him barely reached the second floor when he had finished his awakening and changed into a new set of clothes.
Eris was smiling as if she won the lottery when she followed closely behind Taylor. Her attention was glued on him and she couldn't care less what was happening in front of them.
Taylor ignored the fiery gaze on him, or he tried to, and he watched the fight that unfolded in front of him.
There weren't many Lesser Demons left, only twenty or thirty, and they were extremely weak in Taylor's opinion. Thus, it shouldn't really be a problem for a properly trained Knight to defeat them.
A Knight's nourished and trained Knight Aura combined with a dull stick should be more than enough in Taylor's opinion.
However, what he saw created a grim expression on his face. He frowned deeply as he watched the battle from far away, where he was safe and sound.
"So that's the strength of a One-star Bronze Knight? He is definitely stronger than I am but why am I disappointed?" He mumbled, clearly dissatisfied, and Eris could only nod her head before he moved right behind him. Her head landed softly on his head as they looked straight in the same direction.
She swung her arms over his shoulder and grasped his shirt lightly while her ample breasts pressed against his back.
Taylor could tell what Eris was doing but he didn't do anything to stop her. She would only complain later and sulk for the rest of the day.
"That's because he doesn't seem to have received proper tutelage. He is only considered a One-star Bronze Knight because his Knight Aura has been trained. He doesn't seem to have any combat experience and swings his sword around like a bat." Eris sought lightly before she hugged him tighter.
Taylor was not sure why but he felt that Eris needed that hug right now. It was a bit weird because she had never attempted to get close to him before.
However, since he had undergone the awakening, this seemed to have changed.
What Taylor didn't know was that Eris had actually never been able to touch Taylor, while he was able to do that.
It was not that she never tried to get close to him but that it had never worked out when she tried to touch him in the form she used around him.
