"Stephanie?"
Desmond looked at the police pistol she was holding and looked at the cop on the ground. From the noise he had just heard, it was clear Stephanie had just shot him. Desmond looked Stephanie in the eye, and what he saw was a different person entirely. Her eyes were bloodshot, and her smile was as cold as ice.
Stephanie had finally lost it. She approached Desmond with the gun slowly as the smile on her face broadened. They were in the middle of nowhere, on the roadside next to a deep forest. It was the perfect place for her to commit a crime.
Desmond slowly walked backward as Stephanie approached. He had a calm expression on his face, but he wasn't calm. His body was instinctively shaking, knowing Stephanie was serious. Looking at the state of the policeman, he knew it couldn't be a bluff.
