Desmond followed Eric to the car. He wondered where Eric was planning to go but couldn't ask. At the moment, he had no right to speak. He had been lying to his whole family for several months now, just so he could get their company. Yet Eric didn't seem particularly angry at this.
Desmond couldn't help but feel that Eric was angry at him for something else. Contrary to what he had first thought before he came clean, Eric didn't say a thing about Sam. Desmond was already ready to defend Sam and possibly be disowned by the family for his extraordinary act of deception, but that wasn't the case. Eric only seems to want to talk further.
