Lately, things haven't been going well for Mickey. Since he was assigned to average security duty instead of being by Sam's side, things had changed.
Firstly, he didn't get to see Sam anymore. They saw each other when he went for errands or when she was going for a stroll, or just by coincidence. Each time, Sam would be the one to start a conversation, and Mickey would be the one to end it. Sometimes it would be because he was busy running errands, but most times it was because he didn't want to talk to her. It hurt him anytime he saw her happy with Desmond. He felt bad for feeling that way, hence why he started avoiding Sam. As much as he hated feeling that way, he couldn't help but feel jealous of Desmond.
