Chapter 120 - Drained

The day before Christmas was ordinary, contrary to what Sam expected. In fact, she was disappointed. Not only was she and Desmond's trip cancelled due to the intense snowfall that has been going on for the past two days, but she was now left in the house with just her books. It wasn't so bad, but the prospect of spending her first Christmas Eve in a welcoming environment surrounded by her and her husband's friends and family seemed far preferable. Desmond, though, had instantly rejected that idea and suggested a better way for them to enjoy the holidays.
