"I can't believe this fool canceled!" Her voice echoed around the entire house.
Stephanie was furious. She already made numerous arrangements for her meeting with Brian and now he canceled at the last minute. Apparently, he already had plans with Sam and he had forgotten about it until just a minute ago. Stephanie knew him enough to know he was lying which made her anger snowball even further. Sam was always a thorn in her side no matter the circumstances.
It was Saturday. The day right before the agreed-upon date for their meeting. Stephanie was partially glad to know their relationship with each other was far beyond the employer-employee relationship. If he canceled an arrangement he made four days before just because of an impromptu meeting with Sam, there had to be something going on between them.
