Chapter 96 - Schemer

Beautiful, 82 degrees, mild breeze, cloudless sunshine, a day for looking at a ball. Sam sat on a  bench in the park at the backyard of the mansion. Book in hand, she looked up admiring the Sun hanging in a pink haze of clouds and smog. The day wore on, the time on her watch told her it was twenty minutes past two. She had been reading since she finished her breakfast. A good six hours ago. She was getting drawn in deeper and deeper into the book when a cold north wind hissed through the trees distracting her from the delight she felt from the book. The sounds of the birds chirping were the only thing disrupting the pure silence the yard enjoyed. The construction on the boys hostel which disturbed the peace of the whole household had finally reached completion.
