Sam decided to head back to the office building and give Desmond a call, she didn't know how late it was but she knew Desmond would be worried about her safety and wanted to calm his worries. It was a cold evening, the whispering in the air and the occasional sounds of vehicles passing made her walk back to the office a favorable one.
The security officer on duty recognized Sam and let her in, she figured that there would be some people left in the office by this time but she was wrong, they had all gone home. The security guard only let her in because he thought she had wanted to meet with Brian and have sex with him like all the other girls who visited him at this hour.
