The Autumn trees danced along with the wind as many young seedling detach from the trees as it glided gently to the floor. Under those vast trees resides the bustling streets filled to the brim with markets, inn , restaurants and even brothels. Many crowds of people walked along the extremely-busy street dressed in all sort of attires - one you wouldn't see on the modern day streets. Searing the world under its foot, stood the ball of life as it emitted intense heat. Echoes of bargaining of the merchant and buyer scurried across the street as chatter and laughter erupted from time to time in the bars.
Further down the street appeared an arena followed by betting stands as well as seats. The two young men in the ring fought vigorously as sweat poured on their skin. Outside the arenas were hardcore fans cheering for them whilst others placed a bet with hope of winning. Young to old, there was a wide diversity of age and gender here.

Tu Syaoran unhurriedly opened his eyes as he stares into the unfamiliar world. His pair of curious eyes like a new-born baby scanned the old-fashioned room. The bed he was lying on was hard with a thin blanket. The wooden table had a simple teapot and two tea cups besides it. Tucked under the table was a wooden chair. At the far end of the room was a wooden door made out of bamboo.
He asked himself whether he was dreaming or not before proceeding to pinch himself until it glowed red. It was not long until he was groaning in pain.
"ouch.."
He knew he had been reborn into another world. Tu Syaoran couldn't tell whether he was happy or not. He felt slightly aggrieved as he didn't get to collect his debt of vengeance yet. Gritting tightly on his teeth, his mood took a turn downhill as relived the experiences before dying. His face soured as he murmured Dong Fang name over and over again.
But it was only minutes before his mood recovered. He decided to forget the past and move on in this life.
Although he decided that, he felt uneasy about Dong Fang last words and that magical stone of his. Could there really be a god on earth?
It took less than a second for Tu Syaoran to refute the idea. God is just a term for someone who is much stronger than someone that it seems incomprehensible - like a new player in a rpg game and a max level player (1st on leaderboard) in the rpg game.
Anyway he decided to just focus on what was right in front of him. There was a saying he heard on earth: 'do not dwell too much on the past as the past serves as your experience. Instead use this experience as a walkway to strive toward a better future'
As he concluded this, his eyes gleamed menacingly. His consciousness quickly dives into his mind as he started searching through the memories of the previous owner's body. When Tu Syaoran first crossed over he was assaulted by a large heap of memories bundled in a translucent sphere shape. He felt his consciousness shake violently and after a long time he managed to absorb all the knowledge, experience and memories before collapsing which condensed itself into orbs and from time to time illuminated scenes of a particular memory stored inside it. There were orbs of different sizes with one as small as the hand of a an adult palm and with another more enormous than a house. In his sea of consciousness lay an empty sea filled with a plethora of orbs scattered everywhere.
He slowly sorted the memories out but there was just too much for him to handle as he let out a long sigh. As this happened he started to assimilate the memories of the miniscule orbs as this was what his capacity can only handle at this moment. He endured the extreme pain of the process that lasted about half an hour.
"Success!" He shouted joyfully before blacking out right afterward.

"I heard tomorrow a bunch of talented young people from our villages will awaken their core." The middle age man in a thin robe holding a gourd of alcohol exclaimed.
"yeah I knew already" the long beard man sitting opposite him had a proud smirk before proclaiming "my son is in that batch of young people awakening their core."
"lucky! My son all he does all day is goof around!" The middle age man replied in an unsatisfied tone before slamming his fist on the wooden table in fury.
...
"Yes daddy! uhmm~" a naked young women moaned sexually as a rod penetrates in and out of her pink cave.
"i hear-d your son is going to be in the batch that will awaken their core tomorrow?"
She struggled to get those words out of her mouth as she continued to moan lewdly.
"Oh yes. I'm so proud of him but let not focus on that right now" - The old man who was in the middle of thrusting her licked his lips lustfully - "there's something more important here to do right now."
"ahh~"

Dawn soon settled down as the sun began to rest. Right at the same time Tu Syaoran woke up with a head-splitting headache as well as a dehydrated lip and empty stomach. He groaned before standing up and leaving his room. The room was located in the inn. He walked downstairs and left as he walked on the busy streets looking for a restaurant to satisfy his needs. After a few minutes of searching for something affordable he finally spotted a restaurant that was having a price drop. Without hesitation he approached it. Afterall he wasn't left with much money according to the memories of the previous owner.
As a chosen candidate for the ceremony of awakening they all received 200 silver tael
Tu Syaoran previous owner had already collected the 200 silver tael and has already spent 120 silver tael on things like the brothel and alcohol. Such wasteful use of money, Tu Syaoran thought.
But of course, how could the previous owner know about the expenses of cultivation. After absorbing a heap of knowledge from the small orb of memories he learnt and gain a more overall knowledge in the world that he has reborn into.
His current knowledge also exceeded many villagers in the town.
The scenery looks all happy however the world is more of a crueller place than the people here portrays.
He spent another 7 silver tael in the restaurant he had entered. The food was mediocre compared his old life but he didn't complain. If he couldn't even pass such a simple hardship then how will he continue surviving here.
After that, he returned back into the inn his previous body rented and took a bath before laying down are the hard bed. Tomorrow was the big day where the awakening ceremony would begin and he was lying if he was denying the fact that he was anticipated for it.
Although he had quite high hopes, if one looked closely, in the corner of his eyes were glints of disappointment.
Dark blankets descended onto the sky as the streets is filled with deathly silence with occasionally snoring interrupting the silence.
Tu Syaoran lay on the bed sheet as he gazed at the wooden ceiling. The whole journey from his death to now felt like it was all a dream to him.
He slowly closed his eyes as his consciousness peered into this sea of consciousness as he continue assimilating he memories, slowly but not without progress
So the sea of consciousness is basically the world of your mind/soul where the memories knowledge and will is stored. The stronger the soul the larger the world. The larger the will the more sturdy the world becomes. Fang Yuan suddenly comprehended as he sat on the wooden bed with a daze.
Only until the crescent ascended into the sky did Tu Syaoran surrendered to his fatigue. He spent half of the night absorbing memories but that had only dwindle so less that it would look as if there had not had any reduction of orbs in the first place. After that he spent his remaining will left in his consciousness on analysing and plotting potential future schemes...
From the knowledge he has absorbed, when one first awaken their core there are 6 official known grades which are correlatively Rank F (lowest grade), Rank E, Rank D, Rank C, Rank B and finally Rank A.

Time flew by in almost an instant. The sun slowly returned to its peak as the doors of human life opened. Morning soon habituated in. The aqua sea sky void of clouds glistened in the air as a amber behemoth rest upon it. In an inn, a deprived of sleep Tu Syaoran lay on the bed drooling with a blanket covered over him. The rays of heat pierced through the windows as Tu Syaoran unhurriedly woke up. Opening his rough eyes with bags hanging on it, he stretched himself before dragging his body off the bed. Tu Syaoran reached for a bowl of water before splashing it on his face. The remaining water trickled down his head. Instead of a muddled pair of eyes, they are now clear like water. Instead of a jelly like body, they are now firm and strong - full of life and energy. Before leaving the inn, he packed up his stuff into a leather satchel then said his quick goodbye to inn's owner.
Guided by his memories he started to advance to the next location : Xie Tu town.
This was where the awakening ceremony was going take place at...
