When she was called by Bruce to be the training dummy, in the rented room. She marked the fat boy who had relentlessly tried to catch her for several minutes.
Standing at the top of the library building she spotted him, the bat mark was now visible in her eyes as they turned scarlet.
Activating her innate charm skill was the trigger for the mark. It was not required to keep it acting like a passive to see or track the mark.
The mark would activate only if in a certain range, if you happen to look in the target's direction the range would increase tenfold.
She vanished from the rooftop while casting two stealth spells, stalking her prey like a cicada and following like a tiger until he reached a dark alley.
[Camouflage] [Mana Dispersion]
The first spell was of darkness type it helped you stay hidden in the darkness by making you disguised to suit your surroundings.
The second spell dispersed mana around the user making their presence feint enough to be ignored even by mortals. Unless one was looking at you, they would never notice you were there.
That means even if you were standing beside someone with this spell active, they would not notice you.
It was a scary spell for erasing your presence at a higher level this could even keep mana eyes from spotting you.
(A/N: Mortal would be the term referring to anyone classless or a grade 0 being. The unique ones that still become OP staying one of those would be excluded.)
Reaching the alley, she sneaked closer and closer and hid behind a cover, with help of her spells which she kept active.
She found him standing in front of another boy. Their conversation did not escape her vampiric ears.
"Please give me the potion. Here are the things you requested" fatty presented the other boy with a package.
The young boy rummaged inside and examined the contents of the package, "It's still lacking a second-grade core of an inferno wolf," he said, looking at fatty with a puzzled expression.
"Please give me the potion," fatty begged, tears welling up in his eyes and a solemn expression on his face, "and I'll give you two cores tomorrow."
"You better bring the cores tomorrow, or you won't have an intact body," he said as he threw a potion at fatty and vanished, leaving these words behind.
Fatty took up the bottle with shaking hands and swallowed down the entire contents in one go.
"Such a bad boy," suddenly a sweet voice entered his ears attracting his attention to a hooded figure, "what do you want?" he asked trembling as he thought he might have been caught.
"I am the dish which is best served cold, also known as revenge," the hooded figure's statement scared the hell out of fatty.
"Wh-who are you?" fatty got up while black smoke started to leak out of his body, "I'll KILL you!" his scared eyes were replaced by an enormous rage as if a split personality took over.
Fatty activated his [dash] skill and rushed at the figure and punched with his entire strength behind it only for it to miss as the person he punched side-stepped and dodged.
"Who THE HELL ARE YOU? I'll Kill you," Fatty threw another punch as his eyes caught red eyes in the darkness of the robbed figure.
The figure easily dodged again while also kicking him in the stomach, sending him flying towards the back wall of the alley.
"Anton, you won't get up now, would you? Stay. Down" the melodious voice asked as he was looking at those crimson pearls, where the figure's eyes should be.
"I- won't," without an ounce of resistance the boy continued staying down, 'Was his mind so weak? or was he vulnerable due to recent drug consumption?'
The power of a vampire's influence or charm depends on the mental toughness of the target and owner. However, the youngster, who ought to have strength close to her level, seemed to have virtually none.
"It's you" The boy shrieked in terror as he had realized by now that he could not move despite trying a few times and the person he saw was the one he was playing tag in the morning.
"It's been a while since I drained someone," Ciobara said as she picked him up by the neck and inserted her fangs.
It took a total of one minute to drain the fat boy. The first time draining someone in a new body felt good in a way. The boy was dead once she was done.
[Fireball].
The spherical flames appeared a little further from her and at height of an adult's head. She tossed the body toward it which instantly enveloped the corpse.
The flames were so intense that they did not leave a single trace as not a single ash even touched the ground.
The flame would be really visible if she did not already cast a [dark blanket] above, while she was draining the boy, to hide it.
Erasing the traces of her murder she picked up the almost emptied drug bottle 'this should be enough for making a cure' she chuckled while thinking.
Hurrying toward her dormitory she made it just in time before the facility closed.
Ciobara entered her room after knocking once and waiting for a few seconds as that was the rule roommates had decided on to alert the ones inside.
"Oh, you're late nya" Hisanori greeted her with these words.
"Yes, I went back to training after the library and almost lost sense of time," Ciobara replied as she placed a few things on her bed.
"Let's go shopping tomorrow, I want to change my dagger nya," Hisanori said.
Hisanori the cat-girl was just like her a freshman at the academy but she was studying the assassination profession.
She had black hair and deep eyes of the same color and a body frame suiting her age. She had the average height for her age group.
Indicating her race were two extra ears on top of her head which were similar to a cat's and a tail protruding from her back
"I'll go as well," their third roommate said indifferently from her bed while reading a book.
She was named Eleana who loved to read books so much that she would ignore the world around her, the only thing that could distract her from reading a book would most probably be another book.
That was also a reason both Ciobara and Hisanori were surprised when she told them about going shopping with them.
It was most probably another book she wanted to buy that prompted her to do so. Ciobara had encountered her many times in the library as well.
Eleana was still wearing her school uniform, and her eyes were home to dark circles which never left her. She was always wearing glasses.
Her dark brown hair and almond eyes would charm anyone. If it wasn't for those dark circles, she would be one of the most beautiful girl candidates.
"Sure, I need some materials as well", Ciobara agreed to go with them.
After talking with her roommates for a while she took her bath and trained her mana control a little more before sleeping, she still lacked in it too much compared to her last life.
In her last life when she was introduced to magic her mana control was at least ten times better than her current self.
And the original Ciobara was the daughter of a fire mage it was such a disappointment when she found her level of mana control and every time thinking about it, she firmed her resolve to fix this.
Thinking this she eventually fell asleep.
