Chereads / Ciobara's Reincarnation / Chapter 4 - First Lesson

Chapter 4 - First Lesson

3 AM.

Ciobara woke up without needing an alarm as she was now well rested looking out of the dorm window, she found the moon still hanging in the sky. Smiling upon those that are awake and cold but gentle to those still asleep.

She took a bath, brushed her teeth, got ready for training, and got into the training suite provided by the academy.

She started her morning workout and the training of her mana and blood control. Starting with the physical workout.

The condition of her body was as bad as she had expected it to be, with no prior training in blood control and negligible in mana manipulation.

It was the worst body she could get for the physical training even because of the state of malnutrition.

3:40 AM.

She sat in a meditative position and started to feel mana in her surroundings and inside her body and started to meditate.

4: 20 AM.

For blood manipulation, she used the spell that she used to feed herself a day prior with to create some blood for her practice.

[Sapid Sagine]

She gathered that blood into a vial and started to manipulate the first step was to take blood out of the bowl and make a ball-sized orb of blood with sheer blood control. Which she failed to do so.

It seems that the body had never had any training with blood control and no muscle memory. But not an issue that cannot be resolved. But it would take a lot of her time to achieve

5 AM.

The clock struck 5 as soon as she was done training it seems the training took 2 hours. Deciding to feed herself she was about to cast her favorite spell.

However, her roommate's alarm rang at this moment and she noticed that roommate just dismissed the alarm and continued to sleep.

Which was unacceptable if you put an alarm you must wake up when it rang was her policy.

So, she decided to do one good deed and wake her up using a water spell while also running outside through the door.

Running the fastest she could, she found herself near the entrance of a grandiose building otherwise known as the library, as it is still close, she decided to have breakfast on top of its roof.

Climbing up she reached the roof in no time and fed herself with blood till her hunger was satiated. She took in the grand and beautiful view of the academy as she finished her newly-created blood.

It was an amazing sight to be held. From here almost the entire academy was visible.

Huge buildings were made up of white walls with gold and silver patterns all over them.

The grandiose academy spanned over an 80-kilometer radius. The buildings that could be seen ranged from just class auditoriums, training grounds, and dungeon entrances, to the student and teacher dormitory.

The shops and cafeterias were seemingly in a big enough area to be categorized as a zone. Some of the shops were identifiable even from this distance like the blacksmith, potion, or enchantments shops but many were unclear.

Ten towers are distributed equally all over the academy eleventh and the biggest one in the center of the academy. It was so huge that you could even call it a sky scrapper.

The eleventh tower in its elegance and structure looked so much more beautiful than the rest of the building structures in the academy that it looked out of place as if it was a building from an era further into the future.

The mana that enveloped it could rival an outer tower of her castle which was something to be proud of for even the best academy in the entire world

Or at least in her last life as she does not know much about the new world, she is in.

And just like that, time passes 'till it's class time and she arrived at the classroom.

The classroom is like an auditorium with 6 blackboards on stage where a teacher could write using hands of magic. A magic spell that creates a hand made up of mana.

opposite the stage or from where the teacher teaches, are stairs with chairs placed on them in order.

After entering, some whispers enter her vampiric ears:

"Oh, here comes the weakling."

"The failed prodigy is here."

"she should've dropped out by now why is the academy even keeping her?"

"Eh, she is still alive? Guess she must've gotten lucky."

"Let her, who's going to listen to her? We have him."

Ignoring the whispers, she walks and ascends the stairs to her desk at the back of the classroom and takes a seat beside a humble-looking student.

At the same time, the teacher entered the class looking over with a glint in his eyes.

'He doesn't like me. Did I steal his underwear or something? But he is a man he should've been happy if I did so.

Anyway, I, as queen of the whole vampire race, did not have such arrogance. What the hell is he even proud of?'

"Now now, it's time for all of you to learn tier two spells, so note the magic circle I am about to write on the board. I will not wait for anyone before I erase it so finish when I finish, is that understood?", Sensei spoke in an overbearing tone making class attentive towards himself

With that, he started drawing the circle on the board for a while. When he finished, he looked over the class. His eyes caught her as she was not writing anything and was lost in thought.

He looked extremely mad as if he was about to go berserk.

"MISS CIOBARA, what! ARE you spacing out about? Aren't you enough of a disappointment? Now you don't even take interest in studying.", enraged he demanded

"I am very keen on learning magic sir, as I have already drawn the circle, I was trying to understand what you have drawn there now.", his shouting brought her back to reality but she still answered confidently as if she was never non-attentive

"What could a disappointment like you possibly understand about the wisdom contained in this circle of mine? Don't overestimate yourself."

"It's a spell that will make a type of spirit form from the magic inserted. The most compatible magic is fire, that is what I understood, sir."

'Doesn't he underestimate me too much, I mean, it's just a basic circle.'

"How dare you talk back you imbecile!?! You, low-class moron!" eyes seething with rage while assuming the commoner had disrespected him

'This is it. I'm going to end this man's whole career.'

'Should I use that subject of mine's manner of speech with this douchebag? Let's try.'

"I apologize for my earlier mannerism. Could you please be generous enough to forgive me this one-time"

This seemed to have made him even more enraged.

"You said you could understand the circle, right? Well congratulations, you will now have to show your drawn circle to the whole class."

He reached her while saying this and noticed her perfect drawing which made him feel in awe.

(But of course, he would not admit that as he couldn't be impressed by low-class trash.)

"It seems to be correct. Your mother must have shown this to you before school. As a low-class spell caster, this might be her best spell" he exclaimed while grinning evilly.

"Let's see if you can understand this next circle I am about to write on the board." descending the stairs. As he reached the blackboard, he started to draw.

However, this time, he decided to draw a tier three lightning spell: [Lightning Whip]. When he was done, he asked her with scorn: "Now, say what spell this is."

Ciobara pretended to observe to understand the circle for a while, but the teacher mistook her to be zoning out because it was too complex for her

"Now now stop pretending to be a genius, a bit complex spell, and you freeze. what a disappoi..." feeling like he had won a lottery he started scolding when he saw she froze looking at the spell

Ciobara interrupted him before he could finish as if she had just figured it all out "Understood Sir, should I elaborate on what this does?"

"oh so you think you understood this, go ahead and shoot the nonsense you just came up with"

"With lightning as its nature, the spell circle seems to be summoning up electricity and changing its form to be a weapon.

The weapon is a bendable lightning rod or a lightning whip. Though spell seems to be of a higher grade than the last.

Also, this circle seems to be not fully optimized to use minimum mana as it should." she stated with a pondering expression which transitioned into indifference by the end

(really wanted to smirk but she managed to keep her poker face)
