Brett and Ambrose were both in combat stances, with their extreme reaction speed they could react to anything within a moments notice.
RUSTLE!
They both picked up on sound coming from deeper in the forest.
THUMP!
THUMP!
THUMP!
A strange creature came into view. Hunched over with sickly pale and rotting skin, the creature behaved like a wild animal. This signified that it had little to no intelligence.
The creature slowly sniffed around before abruptly snapping its head towards them, which startled Brett.
It had the eyes of a Vampire, but certainly not the intelligence of one. It's mouth hung open as saliva poured out of it, showing it's rotting teeth.
"Shit." Ambrose felt a headache coming on.
"What?"
"It's a fucking Ghoul." Ambrose felt the urge to cry knowing what a mess he and his new Beta had gotten into.
Brett was confused, Ambrose had told him a lot about the Supernatural but he had not mentioned Ghouls; "What the hell is a Ghoul, and why didn't you mention them before?"
"I didn't mention them because they are at the literal bottom of the Supernatural food chain." Ambrose continued; "Nobody knows exactly when they were first created but it is assumed that a Pure Vampire was experimenting with the turning process when it happened. I don't know the details, but if a Pure does the process wrong it creates what we see here, a mindless, weak creature."
"Shouldn't this be a good thing? Isn't it better then having Vampires attack us now?" Brett asked.
"No, I would rather fight 5 Pure Vampire then fight what's coming. Though a Ghoul is weak and has little intelligence, from the moment they are created they follow all of their creator's orders. But that's not the most terrifying thing about them, Ghouls can infect humans and create more Ghouls just from a bite, spreading like a disease. Ghouls have been used in wars before as essentially biological weapons. The newly turned Ghouls would also follow orders from the Pure Vampire that created it and so would the Ghouls that they would create, essentially forming an army for that Vampire."
Brett understood what was going on; "So your saying… there could be an army of death soldiers out there and if they make it into town, the problem will be much bigger?"
"Exactly."
GAHHHHHHH!
The Ghoul screeched at them before the entire forest became filled with the war cries of the Ghouls.
THUMP!
THUMP!
The sound of many footsteps entered their ears. Ghouls started appearing 30 at a time until their numbers reached over 100. Quickly, they started sprinting full speed at them with bloodlust in their eyes.
"They charge head on, you don't have to worry about any battle tactics, just slaughter them all." Ambrose said as he charged full speed through the horde as he tore through Ghouls like butter with his Wolf Aura coating his claws.
Brett quickly joined him as he also jumped straight into battle. Relying on his instincts, Brett slashed through his first Ghoul. The feeling of cutting another being in half was oddly satisfying for the Beta. It was like his blood was craving the battlefield.
Brett followed Ambrose's lead and continuously slashed, crushed, and stomped Ghouls left and right. Soon enough, a pile of bodies were left in the wake of an Alpha and his Beta.
"Brett, go back as quickly as you can and inform my parents about what's happening here, they need to make sure none make it through to town." Ambrose ordered.
Brett was confused, they just killed over a hundred Ghouls, how could there be any more?
"BRETT! NOW!" Ambrose roared as they both heard more footsteps approaching.
WHOOSH!
Brett didn't say anything else and quickly started moving back to town.
Ambrose looked at the Ghouls that started pouring in and thought; 'This is going to be a long day.'
ROOOAAR!
Ambrose took a deep breathe and roared with all of his might, instilling fear into the Ghouls while shaking the forest in the process.

Ambrose's House
The whole family, besides Ambrose was seated at the dining room table to eat.
Darren looked at Clara and said; "Did you see Brett today? Ambrose definitely turned him last night."
"Duh, unless he magically started walking again." Clara said, making fun of Darren.
"Fuck you, Clara." Darren muttered, but everyone heard it.
"Language!" John and Lauren both said at the same time.
Dinner continued on. They ate in peace as they enjoyed the juicy flavor of the steak that Lauren cooked to perfection.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Suddenly, their peaceful dinner was disturbed by the sound of someone slamming on the door.
"Who the hell is this?" John grumbled as he got up and went to open the door.
CLICK!
When John opened the door, the person who greeted him was a sweaty teenager who was gasping for air. This person was obviously Brett, but John had never met him and had only heard about him.
HUFF!
HUFF!
HUFF!
Brett finally caught his breath and said; "Ghoul Horde… in the forest… Ambrose… alone…"
"WHAT?!" John almost jumped as his eyes almost bulged out.
The rest of the family heard the commotion and came running over. Lauren quickly pulled on John's sleeve and asked; "What's wrong honey?! Is there something wrong with Ambrose?!" She knew only matters of their family could have him so shaken.
"There's a Ghoul Horde in the forest and Ambrose is fighting alone, he sent his Beta here for backup." John said with a deadly serious expression on his face and then continued; "Go, quickly grab our weapons!"
Lauren quickly went upstairs to grab their gear. She came down within seconds with John's short sword and her spear.
"Let's go?" The entire family quickly left out the door and headed towards the forest, completely forgetting Brett's existence.
"I exist, you know." Brett sighed and hurried after them.

On the battlefield, there was only silence. Mists of blood polluted the area, making it look like hell itself.
The Zirel family quickly made its way there, where they couldn't see 10 feet in front of them, even with their Supernatural vision.
They slowly trudged their way to the center where they saw an obscure small hill in the middle of the clearing.
As they moved closer, they realized that it was not a hill at all. Instead it was a pile of corpses. Sitting atop the corpses was a figure covered head to toe in blood. The only thing that they could make out from it's features was it's glowing blue eyes.
"Ambrose…" Lauren muttered.
