"Haylee! Haylee!" a sweet voice called out to someone. "What is it, Kaylee? I am right here. " Another one answered from behind a bush. Two girls, one picking up herbs and the other one collecting some fruits from trees, "Haylee, is this one edible?" Kaylee asked while handing her older sister a fruit, a strange one at that. "I don't know honestly..." "Let's ask Grandpa about it." Haylee suggested to Kaylee, which she agreed to with nodding and a happy smile.
The older sister stood up and shook the dust off her dress, then bowed down to pick up the basket full of herbs, heading on their way back. "Haylee! Haylee! Let's take this road! We haven't gone on this one for a long time, and the Angel's Brier should bloom any time soon. "Please.." Kaylee made puppy eyes at her older sister, begging her to take that road instead of the same old road, and Haylee agreed. To her surprise, the Angel's Birer bloomed, as well as a bunch of other flowers. The few were beautiful and breath-taking. Kaylee ran off ahead to pick up some flowers and make a bundle of flowers.
Haylee went for a small walk to look at some flowers and pick up some on her own too, because it's rare for so many of these flowers to appear at the same time. She picked up a beautiful rose and smelled it, and it smelled really, really nice and unique. So she picked up some more of these... "Haylee!!" She suddenly heard Kaylee scream and rushed as fast as possible over to her, worrying about the worst. "Kaylee, are you okay!!"
Screaming these words with a heavy breath, she held on to the tree as she abruptly stopped and saw Kaylee lying down on her knees trying to take something or someone out of the water. She went over to her little sister and helped her take him out as fast as possible. "He is handsome," Kaylee said, staring at him. "Go get Grandpa," Haylee instructed her younger sister, who dashed home to fetch her grandfather. The older sister tried to take off his armour in order to treat his wounds, but the steel plates were bent, so she couldn't really take it off.
"Haylee!" Their grandfather shouted as he ran over, searching for her location. Kaylee found her sister faster and guided her grandfather to her, who then saw what was going on. "Let's go home and leave him here." He said coldly while grabbing Haylee and attempting to drag her away, but she protested with all her power. "We need to help him!" "Do you not see the state he is in?! He clearly has a lot of enemies and is in this state because of a fight!
I will not put you two in danger because of trying to save a person!" He shouted at the eldest, but she did not give in to him. They both argued a lot. Kaylee had enough and interrupted both of them, taking her sister's side. As he saw that he had no chance to convince them, he finally gave in, put Arthur on his back and carried him home. His sword and some other stuff, like his backpack. Upon arriving, the old man instructed his granddaughters to prepare some herb ointment for wound treatment, a warm room and bed, some water and other herbs for general infections, poison and fever as he took him to a more or less empty room where he took off his armour and then the clothes from his body.
They revealed in which state his wounds and bruises were. "What had to have happened for him to be in this state?" With a shocked expression, he did some fast first aid treatment. In the meantime, the sisters came in, each with a bucket of warm water to wash his body. When they saw his body, their reaction was the same as that of their grandfather. They washed his body with care and disenfected them by either pouring strong alcohol on his wounds or by burning them, which also stopped the bleeding. Some wounds were stitched together. After all his procedure was over with the whole body, the old man started bandaging him and brought him into the warm room, which was prepared for him on the bed.
He covered him with the duvet. Kaylee put her hand on Arthur's forehead and said, "Hmm... It seems that his fever has gone down a little." "He is unconscious, or if I am accurate, then he is in hibernation, and he won't wake up any time soon. Well, I could be wrong. It's amazing and a miracle that he can breathe, let alone survive in that condition he was in. " The old man nodded in agreement with his granddaughter while explaining Arthur's condition briefly to them.
"I cannot move my body. Every muscle in my body is numb. I am in a coma-like state too, so I cannot at least thank them for what they did for me. " Art thought while fully awake in his mind, well, only in his mind. His body is not moveable for him at all. "They have been taking care of me since yesterday. What's going on with my body? I cannot move at all..." Arthur came to a conclusion, disappointed and perplexed as to why it took so long to wake up.
What does it mean to wake up, let alone move a muscle? For him, such normal and everyday things were no longer natural for him. "Oh... someone is coming, but who is it?" Arthur thought because even though he used aura sense a bunch of times, he could not see the person clearly, and he discovered something strange about the two girls. Yet he was unable to say anything. With not much of a choice left, he used aura sense over and over again. It flowed through his muscles and senses in order to train his body as much as possible. that they won't become sore and weak.
The elderly man walks up to him and takes off the bandages with the help of his two granddaughters, who are holding Arthur so that the old man, ahmm... let's call him Darrian, can do his job without any hassle. He rubbed herbal ointment on the wounds in order for them to heal faster. Even though the ointment was meant to heal, Arthur felt as if with each rub, alcohol was being pureed into his wounds, which would then catch fire and spread throughout his entire body. He ended up in his head, resulting in the pain exploding in his head. It made him feel dizzy and made him lose consciousness.
After Arthur Xavier slowly regained his consciousness, still being blurry, he was listening to a girl who started singing a beautiful lullaby for him as the evening came. which he found out as she told him "Good night" and he fell asleep. Darrian, the old man, also walked up to Arthur from time to time and talked with him about every day things in order to help him in any way possible too.
Damn, this throbbing pain just won't go away!" Art thought to himself in his mind. One thing that he barely noticed was that he lost track of time more and more than he thought. "Is it already evening?" Arthur asked himself, completely surprised and wondering what he could do to stop it. How could he do so as to not waste time. Well... all he did was force his aura through every inch of his body so that it throbbed, keeping his muscles in the best possible condition, which took a lot of effort, time, and energy. "What can I do to pass the time?" ...
Maybe I could try to expand my energy core and compress it... I need to be careful about it, because it could get dangerous. Even though it was dangerous, he still did it, but advancing very slowly and carefully, because a mistake could mean losing all his power. While meditating, he recalled the fight with each monster in his head, the first chimera, the swarm of monsters in the cave, the manticore, and the creator. He put himself near a cliff and fought them in his mind. Some were too easy, some pushed him to the limits.
He tried to keep track of time, but the more he tried, the more he lost it. The only things that helped him somehow keep track were when his bandages got renewed or when one of the sisters sang a lullaby for him. After the bandages were renewed, incredible pain rushed through his body, yet his body did not move a muscle. Arthur, in his hibernation or some called it a coma, could feel that obliterating pain, like ten thousand alcohol-dipped needles piercing through his skin and burning him alive. Very clearly, it literally made him lose his mind because of it. But the girl's songs kept him sane. While she sang, he could be at ease and relax before his consciousness faded away, putting him in a long sleep slowly.
More than a week passed by and Arthur did not wake up physically, because mentally he was most of the time awake. "Grandpa!! I will go to the market and buy some clothes for him too. She proposed as she pointed her finger at Arthur, which he knew. "Sure, go ahead, my dear Haylee," Darian replied to her request.
He knew that she pointed her finger at him, as he trained his aura sense exceedingly, which helped him create a new pair of eyes, which he gave the name mind eye. He spreads his energy through the whole room and a little further in order for him to see around him with his mind's eye. "How beneficial would it be if I could gather more energy more efficiently than before... or how-gather energy while breathing!" This idea came through his mind, and, of course, he tried it, but he failed pathetically. No wonder only a handful of masters know how to gather energy while breathing. Yet he did not give up and tried again.
"It seems that you are awake inside yourself, talented young man. A week ago, you could not spread this much aura in a radius close to yourself. " Darian said, while walking inside the room and closing the door behind him...
