"As chief of Elves, you should be troubled," Arzaan said as he imagined the headache he would get should he be in Idril's position now. He was once in his position, too, before he met Hazel, and that burden and headache quickly left him.
"I am," Idril admitted. He stared at the desk without a word for a few seconds before he spoke, "If I never find her, I would spell the end of the Elenel bloodline. That is painful to imagine."
"You will find her, have a little more patience. You will meet the one you'd love sooner than you know. I can tell," Arzaan said, and Idril just nodded his head. He didn't have anything to say. As much as he wanted to be hopeful for that day, everything could just remain as it is now, and that day would never come.
