Arzaan returned to the castle just before Drabor could leave but he did not stop the man. He had a feeling he had come to cause trouble for Hazel which left him concerned about her but when he saw the look of anger and annoyance on his face, he thought differently.
"Your Majesty," Alexander said when he spotted the king. He had failed to notice his presence so he could not tell if he saw everything that happened or not. Though he did nothing wrong, a part of him wished that the king had arrived and died but bet to see and hear all that Drabor had to say about his mate. Drabor might be annoying and hot-tempered, but he was still a very useful asset and was very influential in the realm. "Pardon my lack of awareness, Your Majesty."
"I have just returned, Alexander," Arzaan said and this made Alexander feel like a load had been lifted off his shoulders.
