"Why do you look so gloomy?" Idril asked. Arzaan's mood doesn't change often, and even if it did, it was mostly anger because of the council or something related to the current predicament the realm was under but never sad. It was as if that one emotion had been forgotten.
"She is mourning," he replied, and Idril didn't need to be told who was turning to figure it out.
"Mourning who?" He asked. There was no one for the queen to mourn so…
"Her mother's death," Arzaan replied, and Idril went silent.
"I am sorry to hear that," he finally uttered, his mood shifting as well. "Could this be what is affecting her magic?" Arzaan shook his head. Hazel didn't know what day it was until he said it would be a year soon, and he knew what caused her backslide. "I see."
