They were taking a walk near Yun Xi High School. Although it was already nine at night, the lights were on in the school buildings.
"Do you want to go in and take a look?" asked Li Yanchen.
Lin Wan glanced at the school and shook her head. "It's alright. I'm sure there'll be parent-teacher meetings in the future. I can go then." Lin Wan remembered that there had been so many parent-teacher meetings when she was in her final year of high school.
Li Yanchen was deep in thought. An idea crossed his mind. He decided to keep it a secret for now because he wanted it to be a surprise for Lin Wan.
"Hm… true, there might be an upcoming parent-teacher meeting after the model exams. Wanwan, you've worked so hard this year."
Lin Wan nudged Li Yanchen playfully. "What are you even talking about? Let's go home."
"Let me carry you," said Li Yanchen as he moved closer to her. He crouched down.
Lin Wan got on his back without hesitation.
