"Song Tian" "Wei Ma"
The first match started as a boy holding a sword from the Song clan and a kid strapping a spear at his back from Wei clan come up to the stage. They first showed courtesy to each other before fighting as it is a custom to show respect towards your opponents. The referee of the match signaled them to be ready and then start the fight.
"Killing Tiger" "Thundering Dragon"
Both of them shouted their martial arts towards each other. They clashed their weapons, using it to guess their opponent strength. Song Tian jump back a little bit then dash and slash his sword towards Wei Ma as the boy block the sword and sweep his spear toward his opponent. The spear was dodged but was followed by a thrust which Song Tian dodge to the side and flick his sword toward Wei Tian neck. He dodged the sword but was met with a punch on his face and a kick towards his stomach making Wei Ma fall down from the stage marking his defeat.
Many other matches were happening on different stages in the arena to speed up the competition. Betting were also allowed as the villagers put bets on stronger candidates or dark horses.
"Fa Ze"

Names upon names were called as matches upon matches started and finished. While some took just almost 2 to 5 minutes to finish there are others who took almost 30 minutes to decide the winner of the match. There are also some incidents where a participants got their hands and feet cut off. Hands dangling on their arms while some limping on the floor crying. Although they can be cured and reattached but it takes time and money to find the cure or medicine to attach it back.
"Long Hao" "Wu Kedi"
Long Hao heard his name called and started to walk on stage. He brought a sword with him as he decided it was the best weapon he could wield for the competition. He tied the sword on his waist as it is easier for him to use it if necessary. His aim is to use his bare hand to fight others while take out the sword only to those who at par with his skill. This was his plan to test his limit and learn about his weakness.
A tall and fat boy wearing green shirt holding his club stand across him and point his club at him. The boy smiled at Long Hao provocatively and said "Hey. You are Long Hao right? The stupid kid? HAHAHAHAHA! How did you get in the competition when you are dumb? You can't even talk right? HAHAHAHAHA! I'll smash you easily with my club you mute." The boy laughed out loud making the audience look towards him.
Long Hao stared at the kid silently as he showed his respect with a bow towards him while the kid didn't even do it. He just laughed while ridicule Long Hao. The referee signaled them both to be ready and the fight started.
The boy run towards Long Hao to smash his club but as he run he noticed that Long Hao disappear in front of his eyes. He stopped and searched for Long Hao to no avail. Suddenly, he realized that someone is behind him but it he didn't have to look as he was kicked out from the stage so fast that he fainted.
Long Chen hold his laugh while Long Zhao laughed out loud saying "That's my grandson right there! HAHAHAHAAH!". Yan Hua and Ai Li smiled seeing Long Hao easy win. Although they were worried but they know how strong Long Hua and how much he trained everyday.
The referee was shocked to see the match ended so fast as it was the first match that ended before 1 minute. The referee signaled the match ended and point Long Hao as the winner of the match while that fat boy was carried out to be given medical aid.
"Oh! Seems like there is an interesting fellow there." said the women wearing the red dress.
"He seems strong for a kid his age. Must be a genius." said a big fat monk with a big staff strapped behind his back.
"Well at least we get to see the first good seed in this competition right Xiu Ken?." said a man with a bushy eyebrow towards a man wearing a black cloak.
"Hmm" the man replied.
As match continued as usual, there are some kids from the competition that attracted Long Hao attention. They were the strong ones that manages to defeat their opponent fast just like him. There are four of them, three boys and one girl. Each of them representing the clans while one of the boys are from a lone martial artist family from his village section. Their names are Wei Lu wielding a sword from the Wei clan, Song Jia using two daggers in each hand from Song clan, Fa Mu saber wielding boy from the Fa clan and lastly Mu Mingze using a staff.
He watched all of the matches to learn his shortcomings when he finally see them. He watched their match closely to absorbed and learn their skills. As he watch them, he realized that he had many mistakes to improve from his martial arts. He also realized that if he cover his shortcomings to practice more of his martial arts by achieve epiphany from watching others using their martial arts, he can level up his skills speedily.
The match continued as Long Hao won match after match making others see him as a dark horse. His grandfather was laughing loudly as he stated that after this competition they might get rich from his betting. The others can only shake their heads as they already know about this. Long Chen was hoping to see if his son can achieved more than just winning this competition as he wanted his son to see the world, learn from his mistakes and gain experiences.
