"Why would you want to see my master?" Lexus asked, with his eyes wide in shock
"We have an unfinished business" Ambrose said
"You idiot! Are you not aware that whoever asks to see my master is literally asking to be killed?!" Lexus said angrily
"I'm fully aware of that, now get the heck out of my way Lexus, I need to see your master" Ambrose said and pushed Lexus aside as he made his way upstairs, to the forbidden room, where no one was allowed to enter, not even the servants unless summoned, the king's room
He saw two guards who were in front of the door and he immediately sensed that they weren't ordinary, obviously, the master wouldn't choose weak people to guard his door
Ambrose was about to speak when the guards immediately drew out their swords and pointed them at him, indicating that he should back off
"Oh so you want it that way" Ambrose said and lunged at them with speed
In strength, they could take him out anytime, but when it came to speed, they would lose anytime
He took them out easily because they could never guess what his next move would be
Then he barged into the master's room, when the door opened with force, the servants in the room that were fanning him looked at the direction the noise came from just to see a man come inside
They looked at the master, expecting him to angrily jump at the man, but to their surprise, he didn't, he just stared at Ambrose
"Alex, we need to talk" Ambrose said
The people thought that this man was dead meat for sure, but much to their surprise, Alexander sent them out of the room and they couldn't help but walk out with shock written all over their faces
"You have some nerves to barge into my room like this" Alexander said
"I'm sure you know what I'm here for" Ambrose said, ignoring his question
"First of all, you barge into my room like it's yours, then, you ignore my question" Alexander said
"I am not here to play games Alex" Ambrose said, getting annoyed
"You've developed wings, it seems you do not recognise your elders anymore" Alexander continued, not minding what Ambrose had said
There was silence, then Alexander sighed and got up from the bed, then walked over to his closet and brought something out
"Here it is, you do know there are rules guiding the use of this right?" He said, giving the object, which was a knife, to Ambrose
"Of course I do, it will only be used on the enemy alone" Ambrose said, scanning the knife with his eyes
"Not just that Brose", Alex said, "Whoever you use this on, if the person did not die, he will automatically be ruled by you, which also makes room for betrayal, if you get what I mean" He ended, stressing the last word and looking at Ambrose, expecting a reaction
Ambrose did not react to his statement, of course he knew there was room for that, what did he expect?
Disappointed that Ambrose hadn't reacted even in the littlest way to what he said, Alexander finally spoke after a long Reign of silence between them
"Well, you've gotten it, can you now leave me to be in peace?" Alexander said
"This is not finished yet, you still owe me" Ambrose said and left
Immediately her left, Alexander's servants came rushing in to continue to fan him, while Alexander sighed out
*Meanwhile, in a dark cave, far far away from Ambrose's Abode
"There must be a battle!" A voice was heard
"Yes! we cannot let him live!" Another voice cried out
"He is an abomination to our kind! who has ever heard of a half vampire? it is forbidden!" Another voice pitched in
"It is forbidden! it is forbidden!" Voices were heard echoing it
"Master! what do you have to say about this? As the king of the vampires, you must surely have a word in this!" They all turned to the man on the throne, looking at him expectantly, waiting for his reply
But he just stared into space, not saying anything, it appeared he was thinking, probably pondering on what they had said, so they did not bother him anymore, completely knowing how short tempered he could be
That silence seemed to go on for hours and the vampires were already getting bored and wanted to leave and look for something else to do when the king finally spoke
"If it's a war he wants, it's a war he'll get" he said
That sentence made all the vampires to halt at first, shocked at the short statement he had made and with no emotions at all
Then they began to wonder about the meaning of the statement
This their king, he was a man of so little words, yet they always seemed to be confused about him
They had asked for his opinion, yet all he could say was that
Although they all thought the same thing, no one dared to say a word and they just nodded at him as if to indicate that they understood what he meant
The way he said things, it seemed too easy to understand yet there was always an underlying meaning to his words
"Y-yes sir" They said and rushed to do something useful rather than just stand there and stare at their king's face
*Back at Ambrose's house
Rosetta was on the bed in her room, as she lay there, she just looked up, not really staring at anything in particular, thinking to herself
~Rosetta~
What could he be doing? Why doesn't he want me to leave the room?
Suddenly, she had an idea
'What if I... go through the window?' She thought to herself
'I'm tired of being here alone, I don't even know how long he's going to be out, maybe if I go out now, I'll be able to come back before he gets here's
Then she got up from the bed and walked towards the window
Luckily, it wasn't too high up as she wasn't on the top floor, so she could easily climb down
She opened it and even though she was scared of heights, she was more scared of dying of boredom
Thankfully, she got down safely and made her way to wherever her legs chose to take her to.
