Princess Amaya

King Derek Dlamini desperately wanted to win ancient war so his kingdom will not be taken away from him was obstinate and went the extra miles. He went to see Chief priest to ask for supernatural powers and the the Chief priest told him to sacrifice three virgins to the gods. Being a desperate king he called his guards to bring him three virgins and they sacrificed them. One of the girls cursed the king that he will never be able to bear a male son to ascend the throne and it will be taken away from him before she was sacrificed. The king went to the war front after the sacrifice then he won over the fantes and added their territory to his and expanded his kingdom. King Derek ruled over the Ashanti Kingdom after. Five years later after the war the King's wife conceived and gave birth to a baby girl and they named her Princess Amaya. He took the the baby to the Chief priest to read the horrorscope of the baby and he told the king the child will grow up to fight to ascend the throne and save the community in times of crisis. It would be very fatal. The king was hoping to have a son to ascend his throne instead but the destiny of the child was foretold. The king also knew that the people will not allow a female to ascend the throne and it will be snatched from their lineage. The Chief priest had told him he will never be able to have a male child. The king as usual being so stubborn did not want to loose the throne so he consulted the Chief priest about it but he couldn't help. The time his wife conceived, his trusted friend also had a male child so he exchanged his baby with his friend so that both children will grow up to marry each other and their child will be his blood. They betrothed the children and was between his best friend, the Chief priest and his wife. His best friend's wife died after delivery.
