Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 3 - School for Royals?

As they alighted from the car, they went in. They looked around for directions leading to the principal's office. Lily saw a student coming out from a class. She asked him where the principal's office was and he directed them, blushing.

For them to get to the principal's office, they would pass through a lot of classrooms. As they were walking past, students left their seat to look at them through the window. Earlier, last week in the school, a rumor was spread that new students were joining the school, that they were sisters and that they were four. The rumor started on the day Dad came to the school to register them. It wasn't believed because it was very rare or even almost impossible to have new students joining them in their second year of high school. It was common for new students joining in their sophomore year or even in their final year, so the rumor was abandoned. But when the student that directed them to the principal's office went back to his class, he started telling his classmates about what he saw. The news spread like wildfire especially in the classes concerned. There were five divisions of the second class, and they used alphabets to denote them. For example, they had Class 2-A, Class 2-B etc till E. As there were five classes, it meant that if each of the quadruplets were to go to different classes, one class would not have a new student. All the classes prayed and wished for one of them to be in their class. Class A boasted that they'll surely have a new student as they're the first class and mocked E class that they may be unfortunate. It caused rivalry among the two classes that almost broke into a fight.

All the classes had free periods so they sent representatives to spy on them by going to the principal's office.

When the quadruplets got to the principal's office, they all sighed. It was a long journey. They put on a respectful look as they knocked.

"Come in." The principal answered from inside.

Leah opened the door slowly.

"Good morning sir." They said it once.

The principal's face suddenly lit up. "Well, hello there. Good morning to you too. Here, come sit, four of you" he showed them seats.

"Thank you sir" They sat down.

"You all look alike and you are all very beautiful young ladies."

"Thank you sir." They blushed at the compliment.

"Well, my name is Mr. Austin Royals. I named this school after my last name." He introduced himself.

The girls mouthed an "oh"

Mr. Austin chuckled, "So what are your names?"

"I'm Leah, this is Lena, Lily and Lisa." Leah answered.

"I'm not sure I'll even be able to differentiate between the four of you. I'll advise you guys to wear different dresses to avoid one getting confused. Or, different hairstyles" he joked.

If he knew how much they wanted that.

They all laughed together.

"You guys really look alike." He said again and continued "Okay, to the main point. Your father came by last week to do all the necessary arrangements. You know, it's a little weird that you guys are changing schools at this level, but it's okay." He removed his glasses. "I know your Dad, although not that personally, but I know he's resoinaible and that is why I allowed you guys to be admitted so you guys need to make your parents proud by maintaining proper behavior in the school, okay?"

"Yes sir" They all nodded.

"Now for the classes, it hasn't been assigned yet, so I'm going to do that now. And you guys will get to choose your own classes. Well, I heard from your father that you guys are so close and almost inseparable,"he looked at their outfit and continued "Your outfit proves that right. So I was wondering if all of you would like to stay in the same class"

"NO!" The voice of the four resounded.

"Okay, I didn't expect that reaction" he was a little stunned.

"Well, its true we're inseparable but we decided to be in different classes so that we can share our experiences together" Lena explained.

"Oh, Okay, that's good. No problem." He commented and continued. "Then how do we assign it? ABCD? Or..."

"I think we should do it randomly, like maybe folding of paper, whatever class one picks will be the class of the person"

Lily suggested.

"Okay, then. It's fine by me."

They took turns in picking, according to their seniority- Leah, Lisa, Lena and Lily.

Leah picked C, Lisa pickrd D, Lena picked B and Lily picked E.

"That's going to be your individual classes. I hope you guys enjoy your stay in The Royals High School." The principal said.

"Thank you sir." The four chorused.

They'll be sure to enjoy themselves.
