Lance and the other Half-Bloods stand guard outside William's room along with the guards that Prince Luther has assigned. Although they are already handpicked guards by the prince himself, Lance along with his peers did not want to leave it to them to take care of William's safety and stubbornly stood there the entire time without talking, bringing an awkward atmosphere around the area surrounding the room.
This loyalty became the talk of the estate and garnered the attention of almost everybody working inside. While most have a good impression of what they are doing, some do not take it as good as the others.
