Relations between humans and the Sea Race have always been poor, and even though both are aware of each other's existence, there is rarely any contact. In the eyes of most humans, the Sea Race still belongs to the realm of mysterious creatures.
To put it precisely, the very concept of the "Sea Race" has been forcefully named by humans. In essence, the various species within the vast ocean play by their own rules and have never truly been unified.
Occasionally, a great empire arises that can rule over a swath of the ocean, but compared to the vastness of the sea, it is nothing more than a grain in a granary.
