No one knows what the Elf Race is thinking, but under the backdrop of the collapse of the Alien Coalition, for the survival of their species, it's indeed possible that the Three Major Alien Races would set aside their differences and join hands to occupy the Northern Continent.
Should that step be taken, eliminating the Orcs would become the only option. Before that, the only thing the Alpha Kingdom can do is "to lead the disaster south."
After all, the Alpha Kingdom and The Three Great Kingdoms of the Central Continent are competitors; for Duke Newfoundland, there's no pressure to take the opportunity to undermine them.
The political consequences that follow do not need to be considered at the moment. Only those forces that survive need to consider political issues.
