As an emerging Major Noble, the Koslow family was naturally the focus of many eyes. Despite seemingly amicable relationships with everyone currently, if they were to expose any fatal weaknesses, they would be instantly targeted.
Who can blame them? They were too young and rose too rapidly. If other powers weren't wary, that would be the real problem.
Only the liaisons Hudson had established during the war has prevented any immediate actions against them. No one wanted the reputation of being ungrateful so soon after Hudson had saved many of them.
Furthermore, they had no conflicts of interest with most of the nobility. Why would they stick their necks out and start a fight that benefits other families?
The families with whom they did have a conflict of interest were the ones that suffered severe losses during the war and didn't have the energy or time to bother with the Koslows.
