The dragon they all went together to catch in the Ula Mountains, Hudson had merely returned half a day earlier than them. In just that little bit of time, the Red Dragon had ended up as someone's mount.
If he'd known this dragon could be tamed so easily, he would have contested steadfastly on behalf of the royal family.
Morrison was getting on in years, with few left that he could actually be active. It wouldn't be in his personal use but it's needed by the royal family!
Crown Prince Caesar's reputation was rather bad. If a giant dragon could be tamed, it could restore his prestige and make up for the previous loss of reputation.
But now it's too late, the contract has already been signed, there's no going back.
