At this point in the battle, the Human Alliance could declare a complete victory to the world. After all, there were no more benefits to seize, and the honor of the Human Race has been restored.
Calling the current battles cautious would be a polite way of saying that everyone was, less politely, slacking off.
If it weren't for the vast number of Orc Cannon Fodder Troops still at their disposal, it's likely that some would already be suggesting a retreat.
There was no choice, as too many promises had been made to coax the naïve Orcs into the alliance.
Apart from Hudson's proposition of supporting various Orc Species in establishing their own independent nations, many other tactful maneuvers had been added during the actual operation.
As they are unable to keep their promises or break the treaty openly, the only option left is to send them to their deaths.
