Hudson couldn't help but exclaim.
They were all set and ready to face a big battle, and just when they were about to make their move, the Orc Army suddenly decided not to come.
The roads had been cut off, and now, even if they wanted to dispatch troops to pursue, it would be too late. Sending a small cavalry force to attack via smaller roads is of no significance.
"Yes, Your Excellency the Count. This morning, the Orc Army unexpectedly retreated the same way they had come. They left in such a hurry that they even discarded some of the siege equipment they had brought with them along the way. It seemed as if something drastic had happened in their rear."
Viscount Kenny's words reminded Hudson of a victory report from the kingdom that had just been received.
If that bunch of old fossils led the way at the front, with the Alpha Kingdom's army striking into the Orc Empire, the enemy's withdrawal would make sense.
