The most embarrassing part was that numerous squads passed through their territory and were mistaken by the Moxi People for reinforcements sent by the Alliance. They had even prepared a welcoming feast, but the old fellas still left.
Hudson was one of the witnesses at the scene. The passing reinforcements, on average, were well over 80 years old, with many over 100 years old. They were, indeed, a group of "old soldier grandpas".
Even though they were of decent strength, they probably wouldn't live much longer. They must not want to die in their beds and wish to give it all one last time while they still can.
