The streets were nearly spotless, with tall scenic trees swaying gently in the wind. The central clock tower of the Inspector Knights Headquarters, whose spire was visible from anywhere in the area, only made one aware of the passage of time when it rang to signal four o'clock in the afternoon.
The pedestrians, all dressed in decent formal attire, walked at a relaxed pace, as if they knew they were very safe and there was no need to rush or worry.
