The hunchbacked figure that looked like a leader howled.
The dozen or so Moonless Folk around it became restless, starting to look around warily.

Several playing cards shot out from the mist, hitting a few of the Moonless Folk around the perimeter. They screamed as they fell to the ground, the cards sticking in their bodies, and blood gushed out.
The leader's Insight Attribute was evidently higher, and it seemed to have noticed something amiss. It raised the cane in its hands toward the fog ahead.
Crackle!
The black Crystal Stone once again emitted red lightning, a twisting beam of red light shot towards the mist.
Just then, a figure emerged from the fog.
He casually raised his palm and caught the red lightning strike.
Crack!
His fingers clenched as if he burst the lightning, the tiny red arcs dancing between his fingers before dissipating.
