Vigrey poured himself a glass of strong liquor.
The orange glow from the electric light passed through the ice in the glass, merging with the amber color of the alcohol, distorting the young man's face.
"Yes, Mr. Vigrey. I come from an inconspicuous small city in Rock State..."
Chen Lun picked up his glass and took a sip of milk.
"Didn't you want to talk to me about literary matters?"
Vigrey didn't respond to him and glanced at the milk in his hand, chuckling softly.
"Mr. Jack's preferences are... quite unique."
"Drinking milk at night helps with sleep. I suggest you try it, just one glass, and you're guaranteed to sleep better than a baby."
Chen Lun gulped it down and let out a milk burp.
