It was late into the night.
The air felt oppressively still, and tonight, the Purple Moon was shrouded in clouds, with not even a star in sight.
The Pearl Barmogo continued to sail on the open sea.
In the pitch-black environment, the searchlight seemed to be the only source of light.
Inside the cockpit, the captain and the first mate stood in front of the glass window.
The captain wore a hat and had a cigarette dangling from his mouth, his eyes squinted as he stared outside. The first mate with a buzz cut whispered,
"Captain Hayden, this weather seems a bit ominous, and it might very well turn into a storm."
The first mate pulled out a nautical chart and pointed to a spot.
"One hundred twenty nautical miles to the northwest is Dreyt Town's Belo Port; should we head there to anchor and wait out the night?"
"No."
After taking a deep drag from his cigarette, Captain Hayden glanced at the first mate.
