Of the three main city regions, two had already been breached, and the last one, Fireneedle City, along with its nineteen affiliated cities, was being campaigned against by a team led by Floey.
Out of these nineteen cities, eight had become Red Calamity Areas. As the defenders, the Red Apple Church couldn't concentrate their forces at a single point; they needed to rely on the occupied fallen cities to wage a war of attrition against the attackers.
They used the "Fallen Believers" who had been transformed locally to delay Floey and her team's progress as much as possible. Otherwise, relying solely on Transcendent priests and a handful of high-level combat powers, it would be difficult to compete.
However, the battles zone's only "Abomination Fortress" had been destroyed, and in a clear case of man-to-man fighting, Floey's side clearly had the upper hand.
