The dazzling deep purple sword light plowed through the ground!
A massive arc-shaped airflow barrier pushed forward, charging directly at the two trying to escape in midair.
Transformed into gargoyles, Hilna and Talelang had eyes of shiny black obsidian, reflecting the sword curtain as bright as moonlight.
"Talelang, survive."
After speaking softly, Hilna forcefully pushed against Talelang's chest, breaking free from his embrace.
Talelang's pupils constricted, and he instinctively reached out to grab Hilna's hand, but grasped at nothing.
She flapped her incomplete wings, gliding for a distance before heading straight into the enormous purple sword curtain.
"Hilna! Come back!!"
Seeing his lover's actions and realizing she intended to sacrifice herself to buy him time to escape, Talelang couldn't help but shout desperately.
Hilna quickly threw an alchemical potion into her mouth, crunching the glass bottle, and swallowed the liquid and glass fragments together.
