Earl Lawson didn't know what had been discussed with Kafli, but he left the exhibition's Great Gate with a spring in his step. Sunny Xiaoyu and two other players, along with a dozen bodyguards, followed closely behind him.
However, just as Earl Lawson was about to board the carriage, a newsboy shouting advertisements ran past him. Nearly everyone failed to notice that the newsboy had pulled out a flintlock gun from his bag.
Sunny Xiaoyu casually threw a Scout, but the next moment her face turned pale, and she shouted:
"Protect the Earl! That kid is an assassin!"
Hearing her warning, the bodyguards immediately rushed forward, tensely surrounding Earl Lawson to shield him from the attack coming from the shadows.
Several bodyguards also pounced toward the newsboy, trying to tackle him to the ground.
