[Gina's P.O.V.]
When I saw Reid again, everything that happened that night flashed through my mind as if it was happening right now. I started to feel so angry that I couldn't help but tremble. Fortunately, they had splashed me with ice water, so they would simply think that I was shivering from the cold instead.
Reid slowly walked over and looked at me with searching eyes. When he saw that I didn't look up, he flipped me over and stepped on my neck, forcing me to look at him.
"What's your name?" asked Reid disdainfully.
I lowered my eyes slightly and feigned a timid look. In reality, I didn't want him to see my silver eyes. Then, I softly said, "Gina Miller."
Reid squinted his eyes and was a little dissatisfied with my answer. He asked again, "What is your parents' status? How old are you?"
"I'm almost six years old. My father is an elder, Gale Miller."
I hid my age because I thought it would help me buy some time. I was also very petite, so I was confident that he wouldn't suspect me at all.
"An elder?" Reid laughed and let go of my foot. He bent down and picked me up. "I think you know something, puppy. Tell me what you know."
I shook my head with all my might, tears welling up in my eyes. "I don't know anything."
Reid stared at me for a long time and I felt as if he could see through my soul. I could tell he was using his Alpha aura to intimidate me.
But since I was an Alpha too, his intimidation didn't work on me. Still, I pretended to cry and feign innocence.
Seeing that I didn't have any suspicious reactions, he threw me to the ground in disappointment. He was so strong that the impact of my fall felt as if it would crush my internal organs. I coughed as an automatic reaction.
"Useless thing, bring her to the packhouse and make her a servant."
The warriors dragged me up from the ground and threw me into a group of wolf cubs. I vaguely heard him mumble, "We're going to start looking again."
I knew that these wolf cubs were my Pack's members. Since my Pack was destroyed, they had become orphans. But they were still my people and I had to do my best to protect them. I looked at them snuggling up to each other and crying, and a different kind of emotion welled up in my heart. When I became stronger, I would definitely save them.
Then, I noticed that Dolly was also kneeling beside me. I knew that she didn't dare to look at me and I didn't spare her any extra glances. I only felt disgust and loathing towards this person who had betrayed me.
Just as they were about to drag us into the packhouse and close the door, Dolly suddenly ran up and grabbed the legs of Reid's Beta.
"You said that as long as I bring back cubs, you'll let me go, that I wouldn't have to come back to this place." She cried bitterly, her face full of unwillingness. "I beg you, please let me go."
"Let you go? Look at what you've brought back." The Beta pointed at me and gritted his teeth. "I want an Alpha offspring, but what's this? A ridiculous Omega."
"But that's not what you said. Didn't you just want the cubs?" Dolly was still holding onto the Beta's thigh.
The Beta wanted to pull Dolly away, but her grip was too tight so he grabbed Dolly and threw her to the ground.
When he left, he called a few of his men with a signal of his eyes, then left without looking back.
In the end, a few of his men beat Dolly until she was unconscious and threw her into our group.
I looked at Dolly, who was covered in blood, and a different feeling rose in my heart. I told myself that she was just a little liar. I looked away, but her resentful eyes stayed in my heart.
After staying in this packhouse for a few days, I gradually realized that this place was another hell on earth. An adult Wolf could be raped at will and a young wolf could be beaten at will. I was constantly surrounded by the cries of wolves for help.
It was so terrifying that it seemed like we were going to be dragged to hell just from the cacophony of sounds in this packhouse. Every day, there would be all kinds of miserable fights as well. These warriors were just like their Alpha, they didn't treat us as normal werewolves. And for a moment, I almost forgave Dolly who lied to me because she wanted to escape here.
Of course, it only lasted for a moment.
I rubbed my face and told myself that I had to endure it. All of this was nothing. I was now living here. I wanted to survive.
I didn't live for myself, but for the future of Bright Moon Pack. I could never forget my identity as the only daughter of Bright Moon Pack's Alpha Oak and Luna Belle.
I couldn't forget how Reid exterminated my Pack simply because my father wanted to help a weaker Pack.
I wanted to inherit my father's will. I had to find a way to make myself strong, strong enough to go against Reid.
