Chapter 8 - 8. I'm Addicted to

"Lily? Where are you going?" Varun ground panicked and grabbed Lily's hand.

Lily pushed away Varun's hand. The woman's face was decorated with extreme sadness.

"I must go home." Lily's voice sounded cold.

Varun tries to calm down but fails. "Yeah, we're going home. But not now. We're going home in two weeks as planned. I've already booked our tickets for another two weeks."

"I'll change the ticket. How much is the ticket?" Lily asked haughtily. His chin lifted and he gave Varun a sinister look. Not sad anymore, but just like an arrogant aristocratic woman.

Varun laughed sarcastically. Shocked by what he saw. Lily's change in attitude was so confusing.

"What are you talking about? It's not money." Varun looked at Lily sharply. Frankly, he was offended by Lily's words.

Lily suddenly looked down. Start crying again. "I can't, Varun. I'm confused by all this."

Varun approached Lily. Even though he was still shocked by Lily's attitude, he felt sorry for her whenever Lily cried. Varun hugs Lily.

"Hey. It's okay. Don't cry. Marriage isn't as bad as you think. We will live this together. I promise I won't hurt you." Varun stroked Lily's beautiful brown hair.

"Varun, don't be mad. I didn't mean to put you down. I'm just ashamed of everything that happened. I want to go home." Lily fell into Varun's arms.

"Yes, Lily. I understand. I'm not angry. I love you."

Varun's words managed to calm Lily down. Lily slowly wiped away the remaining tears on her cheeks and then put her clothes back into the closet. Not going. Varun helps Lily tidy up her things. The interesting thing for Varun. Several times he almost touched Lily's underwear that was taken out of the suitcase. Lily panicked and immediately snatched it from Varun's hand.

Both of them became awkward and shy. Varun smiled. He didn't want to force Lily at all. It's not like that.

Lily realized she was alone in the room with Varun. Now there will be no one to crowd them. But still Lily was shy and not ready. Several times Lily glanced at Varun nervously. Every time Varun caught his eye, Lily would look away. So embarrassed that his face turned red. Fear began to take over him. Lily's body was shaking.

Lily wasn't ready. But he couldn't just throw Varun out of the room. As her husband, Varun deserved to be there and even asked Lily for more.

When Lily finished packing all the clothes into the closet, she turned around and was immediately surprised that Varun was already standing in front of her, so close.

"Argh!" cried Lily in surprise.

Varun smiled a little. Now he's not as shy as Lily. Even Varun blatantly stared at Lily's lips, then turned to her neck. Lily's whole body seemed to melt when X-rayed by Varun.

"What do you want?" Lily asked nervously as she backed away from Varun.

Varun instead stepped forward towards Lily. Lily was cornered against the wall with Varun just inches away from her.

Lily's heart was pounding. She loves Varun but is still afraid to do anything further. Still in shock.

"Tomorrow we go on vacation to Sabang with Risky and other friends, right? The place is good. You will like it. So you don't feel sad." The words left Varun's mouth like a whisper.

Lily couldn't concentrate anymore. A strange sensation was present in him when Varun was so close to him. Lily's gaze focused on Varun's broad chest peeking under the white shirt he was wearing, then on the man's red lips, high nose, eagle eyes, and thick eyebrows. Everything in Varun is so perfect. Varun's tall posture with a six-pack body without excessive muscles is according to Lily's preference.

"Lily?" Varun looked at Lily.

Lily was still looking at Varun's body and felt her knees go weak.

"Lily? Do you want to come with me?" asked Varun once more.

Varun touched Lily's cheek. Instantly the beautiful woman gasped in surprise and realized.

"Eh, yes. We're leaving tomorrow," Lily replied.

Varun smiled sweetly. For a few moments, the dashing man looked into Lily's eyes and then left the room.

Lily stood stiffly in place, still feeling the incredible sensation she had for Varun. Lily pondered about her feelings and what she wanted right now.

Early in the morning after Fajr's prayer, Lily and Varun got ready to go on vacation. In a few minutes, Risky will come with the car they rented. This trip will be quite long because the distance from Pidie to Banda Aceh is quite far.

Lily didn't want to carry a lot of things. Usually when traveling long distances. Fear of hassles and trauma because in the past he had lost valuables that he carried while traveling far.

"It's okay. Just bring what you need. Let me carry everything," Varun offered.

Lily glanced around. "There's a clothing store there and there's a cafeteria, right? There must be. We just need to bring some clothes, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and towels.

"What about makeup? Skincare? I'm afraid you'll be confused later there."

Lily pouted and pinched Varun's hand lightly. "Not all girls are like that. Do you think I'm crazy about make-up? Besides, I'm already beautiful without all that." Lily poses beautifully and gracefully in front of Varun. Only a while. He then laughed.

Varun smiled. Random. That's what he values Lily. Sometimes it's like this, sometimes it's like that.

"Yes. You are indeed beautiful," said Varun. That's an inescapable fact. Varun had even prepared himself to keep Lily by his side. Several times he caught men staring at Lily for a long time with interest. Reasonable. Lily is very beautiful.

Car horns sounded outside. Risky has arrived. The squeak of car tires sounded noisy up ahead.

"Come on, Lily," said Varun as he gave his hand to Lily.

Lily looked doubtfully at Varun's hand but finally accepted Varun's hand. He only carried a small sling bag. While Varun carried a large backpack on his back.

They got out and were immediately shocked to see Risky getting out of one of the cars in front of Uncle Jamal's house. There were three cars and they were all full. Lots of families. From small children to elders.

"Wow, I didn't expect us to be picked up at home by all the touring members," said Lily.

Risky with his silly behavior smirked and approached Varun and Lily.

"Assalamualaikum, brother-in-law!" said Risky clasping his hands in respect of Lily.

"Waalaikumsalam." Lily laughed amused at Risky's joke.

"Well, that's how it is. Don't be sad, Sis. You've made my friend nervous and he's just having a hard time walking, he keeps banging his head against the wall because he's daydreaming, Brother," said Risky.

"Overacting!" Varun tucks Risky's hair. "Why did you bring the group here? Just make a scene."

"Calm down, Bro. They're family. They both want to go on vacation to Sabang. We're together with my family!" Without waiting for Varun and Lily's approval, Risky had snatched the backpack from Varun's back and carried it away, haphazardly stuffing it into the car.

"Idiot! Just play around! Our things will fall apart!" exclaimed Varun.

"Halah! Let it go. As long as it's not your broken hearts!" Risky replied idly.

Varun and Lily looked at each other. Just then Uncle Jamal came home from the surau.

"Uncle," said Varun and Lily in unison. They glanced at each other again and then approached Uncle Jamal.

"Let's go first, Uncle." Varun immediately shook Uncle Jamal's hand.

"Go ahead, Uncle. Are you okay at home?" Lily asked worriedly.

Uncle Jamal laughed. "Stupid child. I've been here alone for years. You don't need to worry. It's done. Go there. Have fun with your husband," Uncle Jamal said pushing Lily slowly.

Lily shook her uncle's hand and then followed Varun's footsteps towards the car. Before getting into the car, Lily looked back at her uncle. That man was the only family that Lily was closest to. Lily had lived in Pidie as a child and spent time playing every day with Uncle Jamal. The man always loved her. Complete each other. Lily didn't get along with her parents and older sisters. Meanwhile, Uncle Jamal mourned the loss of his wife and only child who died due to illness. They are like sons and fathers.

Uncle Jamal waved his hand signaling Lily to leave immediately. Lily nodded and finally got into one of the cars, right beside her husband.

"Eat this first so you don't get drunk. It's going to be a long journey." Varun offers Lily a hangover medicine. Lily accepted it and drank the medicine.

Lily was still looking at Varun confused. He's had it a few times. It still feels like a dream that she already has a husband.

The car hasn't started yet. The car door opened and appeared a woman and a man with a small child about eleven years old.

"Risky, the car over there is too full. Do you mind if Makcik rides with Makcik's child here?" the woman asked Risky who was sitting in the front with the driver.

"Ha, ha, it's okay, Mak. Come on in. Come on, Syahrul come in. Sit next to that brother. But don't disturb his wife, okay? You'll be hit by that brother." At times, Risky joked.

Varun glanced at Risky furiously wanting to punch his best friend.

"Can Makcik's child sit here, Dek?" the woman asked Lily and Varun.

Varun and Lily both shifted to make room for the boy in their midst. Syahrul entered in his indifferent style and sat in the middle of Varun and Lily, then was busy playing games on his cellphone.

"Thank you, Dek," said the husband and wife to Varun and Lily.

"Yes, ma'am. You're welcome," said Varun. Lily just smiled and nodded.

"Risky, this is your friend you told me about last night? The one you said was the newlywed?" asked the woman curiously.

"Yes. That's right, Ma'am. One hundred for Ma'am. You can immediately guess this Ma'am," replied Risky.

The mother laughed. "The newlyweds are different. Their faces are shining and they smell different."

They laugh.

"What's the smell, Ma'am? The smell of shampoo and soap is sharp, isn't it, Ma'am?" Risky is happy to get material to tease Varun and Lily.

Varun follows Risky from behind. "You're kidding your father!"

Lily was already blushing and lowered her head. While Varun smiled.

"Just kidding, Derek. Don't be angry," the woman said to Lily and Varun.

"Come on, Nur. Don't disturb the newlyweds. Let's go back to the car," said the husband. They left after giving some messages to their son who was sitting with Varun and Lily.

The car drove. The journey is started.
