Another bonus chapter for the volume ending.
It might contain light spoilers about our beloved Uncle Zoan.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"People tell each other there exists Heaven and Hell. Those people will ask you never to sin. For those who do it are sent to the netherworld and punished eternally. While others say, that killing to save for nation or to win new land for food, which is humanity's primal instinct is a sin. As Gods grant heaven to those who do so."
The Aged man was reading this almost rugged-off book in front of me and we are sitting in this yellow-painted room with bookshelves and paintings.
He was not even looking at me mesmerized in the reading of the words, like they were unseen treasures but to me, these stories are worth nothing, I don't understand their meaning at all. I'd rather go out and practice climbing rocks.
The person continued his lines,
"This is humanity's biggest foolishness. God creates no equal and he never will. The idea of God is just a lie which humanity sells to itself. If, God allows one to die in a war, a concept which humanity created and is destroying itself using and then easily reach the heavens. While a normal human must avoid every sin and stay pure, killing some for their so-called "freedom" is not a sin while any other purpose is a sin. For such a contradicting thing, a god is a lie."
He will just keep babbling about the book, I know in myself that god exists. He created the world and keeps it in balance. The world I see is the reality because we are blessed.
Fate about death in a war or dying at the moment of birth exists. The one who grants them and balances them out exists that is the existence of God.
"Looks like you are finally taking some interest in the reading, Edward."
"Huh?"
I never realized that I was completely lost in internal arguments about the topic the Man was talking about, he knew I wasn't interested in his words earlier but, he made me interested.
"You never realize it but, someone challenges your ideal, the very root of your beliefs. You are pulled into the idea without ever realizing it. The idea of the very existence of God is such a thing."
He closed the book and kept it on the table nearby, his white dress bright with all sunlight from the windows. As he leaned closer to me with a tiny smile on his face,
"Tell me Edward what did you think about the words? What is your mind telling you?"
"I think, that person that wrote the book has the wrong idea. A god definitely exists."
"Oh really! Why do you think so? What is the evidence behind the there existence?"
"Your existence-"
A took a good breath before speaking again.
"- More properly, the existence of the assassins. A person who deserves punishment for ruining other people's lives is punished by us and we help those who are in need. Those who sin are punished and those who don't are aided. The balance of good and evil must be there so, it is not possible for everybody to be happy but God never allows everyone to be sad."
"Interesting."
I said it all in one go, no breaks the entire thing. The man leaned back after hearing my words, planning his next words.
"So, Edward? Would you please tell me something?"
"Yes."
"Doesn't your words make it looks like that, we are gods themselves or are we someone especially blessed by God to do his work? We are the ones bringing the balance here, not the gods right? What if become evil? How will god cast divine punishment on us?"
"..."
He thought he found a loophole in my words because I talked about our creed's work but he is not right.
"It doesn't matter if we become evil, someday we will suffer for our actions. Everything will around us will suffer because of us. We will all equally pay for our actions."
"Hahahah..!!"
"?!"
The person began laughing, he held his stomach with one hand while his other hand was on his eyes, "Are you crying tears of happiness?" I wanted to ask him that but I stopped myself.
His laughing finally calmed down and he picked up a glass of water. He drank the entire glass and then began speaking,
"Edward, you are still a kid. You were not the right person to talk to about this topic. Your world of reality is still very small."
He began leaning towards me again but this time his smile was creepy and his eyes were terrifying.
"There is a God. He definitely exists but his actions for not for us and not against us."
"What does that mean?!"
"It means that God loves everyone, every human. Whether a sinner or a pure human, he cares for everyone equally, he doesn't discriminate against people other treats everybody equally. Who do you know why?"
"I don't."
"It is because, to him, we are just little flies that get born and die before we some can even notice."
"...."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was many years ago, I now stand on my ship and I am returning to Ethereo once again,
I know the meaning of the old man's words, which I didn't understand then,
"God created this world, he was been watching over the entire world. Ever since its beginning."
To him person's life is just a long ripple in water, it goes away so fast that you can't even see some of them.
"It is the same for us. God loves us all equally because we are so small to him but truly, just the ripples in the water.
God does not care for any human."
He leaves us no salvation, we live and die without him getting a single hint. We are small, very very small.
