"Brei! Your still burning in fever" Mica exclaimed witnessing the weak and unlively Aubrey. After waking up, Aubrey was down and can't explain why. The book she had under her pillow doesn't show the weird writings she can see during the day. The pages there was clean and no single ink was written. She even catched a fever that causes her to skip class. Although she mostly can't remember what she dream something was echoing inside her. It was her inner voice. It was about the moon in the sky. She could also feel she was being surrounded with water and it's coldness. She look outside and wished to see the moon knowing the clouds outside were so dark.
"Brei... Don't even think of going outside." Mica warned her after noticing Aubrey was staring outside the window. "Here take your medicine." She added then puts one tablet of fever reliever. "And also these you are holding these thing while ago, you seemed so fond of it since you clenched it so tightly."
Aubrey was shocked seeing a bracelet. She couldn't remember where and who gave it but she has a strong feeling something was hiding behind it. She took the bracelet from Mica's hand. After that Mica leave for her class. Aubrey was scanning on it, something flashed on her mind.
An unclear image of a man. It's like a broken memory where she could here what he said, "I promise I'll return. And promise me you'll stay safe and wait on the caves entrance.". But it sounded like a corrupt video. Then she unconsciously touched her lips. And she felt weird why she did. Then she felt her head being squeeze. So she drink the medicine, eat, then rest.
Aubrey found herself in an old building. She then remembered something, it already happened before. The dirty old design of an abandoned building far from the community. These building was surrounded with tall grasses. Then she heard it again, and she can't be wrong about it. As she walks closely to that loud noise enchantment due curiosity. She can hear her heart beat and the eerie feeling of the surrounding. She saw someone having a ritual. A body lying down besides a book and candles all over formaluting the demons star. A womans voice was familiar but it really is creepy that she got scared and walk away from the scene, after seeing the dark cloak lady.
She decided to walk out cause she knew it's the beginning of it all. The beginning of the torture. As she look away she was terrified and freeze on the dark cloak lady's appearance.
"Where do you think you're going?" She asked with a demons smile she had on written on her lips. She couldn't clearly see it's full appearance because the cloak cover the eyes of these lady. Then she feared that makes herself paralyzed, she's breathing heavily seeing the dark cloak lady trying to choke her. She tried to move her body away and run but she can't, while the cloak lady was smiling and desperately wants to kill her. Aubrey thinks if she could move one of her fingers she might be able to scape.
While struggling her breathe from the choke. She also prayed and hpoes she could scape by lifting her index finger. And thankfully, it indeed happened. She woke up from the dream. No, from the so called sleep paralysis that happened before.She was catching her breathe. She can't forget every details about it.
In her memory, she was looking for her street cat she's been take care of since her 1st senior year. As she was tracking it, she arrived on an abandoned building. She called the cat by it's name she herself have given. Until, she heard the mysterious enchantment, just like the enchantment she heard on her dream while ago. She picked on everything that she could also see how the dark cloak lady lift the knife ready to stab the boy who was lying down on floor surrounded with dark candles encircling like the demon shaped star. She move backwards and accidentally runs into an old can of paint. It made a sound that distracted the cloak lady. Aubrey sensing everything has gone wrong she hurriedly run back on her home and lie on her bed panthing. She close her eyes clenching her blanket that covered her body. She hoped, she wasn't followed. Then she noticed that the environment was very quiet so she opened her eyes. She felt someone was breathing on the side of her bed so as she turned around on that side, her eyes widened.
"What are you looking at..." The dark cloak lady ask who was on now on her side. She fainted on fear. As she woke up everything on her room was already normal. But then the insomnia begins. Cause everytime she tried to sleep the dark cloak lady will appear and will try to kill her. She was questioning herself why she was being hunt when all she has done was watch.
Aubrey took the book for one time. She run throughout the page hoping there would be something written on there. After getting tired fom the repeating shuffle of pages. She returned the book under her pillow and seat on the desk table located near window. The rain outside finally stopped. The fully round shape of the moon shine showing the freshness after the dark clouds cover it.
Suddenly a someone knocked on the door. She knew somebody must be outside cause Mica doesn't knock and was very noisy when arriving from school. Besides, she can't be back on the board house because it's weekdays and she's very busy in party clubs. She approached the door and ask if who was knocking. Of course she has to be careful and not open the door directly if the way the person from the other side of the door has weird than her room neighbors actions.
"Miss... It's Lady Devial. Mica told me you had a fever so I have come to visit." The person from the other side replied. She doesn't asked more cause the voice was very familiar so she opened the door. She saw the lady brought a warm food and offered her to eat it. Then lady check on her. It seems she just arrived from a month of being away. She even shared how their family was very noisy and annoying, including the chaos of her parents inheritance that her other siblings were fighting for.
On the other hand Aubrey was alarmed on these lady's return. She keeps on glimpsing the pillow in which she hides the book she stole from lady Devial. When the lady noticed her eyes keeps on shifting on her bed she turn around wondering what she keeps on checking. Then Aubrey lied she wants to sleep early because of the headache she felt. The lady just smiled and accepted her request.
"It's so sad that no one is taking care of you." The lady said while clearing the food wear she had brought on the study table.
Aubrey saw the gloomy reaction of the lady. "Do you have a child?" She asked. The lady directly look at Aubrey's eyes
