Blush entered the building and waited to be seen while feeling the familiarity of the place from the various sounds and smells that filled the room. 'Soon this will be gone too.'
She felt that it was a shame for it to be destroyed and there were still some familiar faces within that she did not wish to have their lives cut off so soon.
Sadly their decisions would be what would let them remain or leave.
It was their fight to defend themselves but also those in the city that were powerless.
There would be some that would not run away and would die trying to uphold their ideals even if they knew of the great threat ahead of them.
She was lost in her nostalgia and thoughts until an older man appeared before her. "Hey kid, what brings you here? Now is not a good time right now."
Blush stood up and walked closer to him. "Can we talk for a little bit? Preferably somewhere more private."
The man nodded. "Sure, follow me."
They found themselves in the back room and they sat opposite each other, Blush began to speak up first. "I have come to let you guys know that I am leaving the city. My master was poisoned and anyone that can sense the changes has come to know nothing good is coming. There is already a small group heading to the capital to get far away from what is coming but there will be a chance for others to follow behind.
This is why I have visited you all. I hope you all can get away from the conflict and start again somewhere else but I know that this is home for so many of you. If you do not wish to leave yourself then at least let others have the chance to make their own decisions."
The man put on a conflicted expression and said. "Sorry Blush but I cannot join you. I am needed here to provide more weapons to those that will need them but I will ask the others for you.
Even if I can use this body to do this and cannot make that much of a difference besides this, I still want to try until my last moments. As you have said, this is my home but I will not drag everyone else with me to their deaths without giving them the option to step away."
Blush nodded. "There are a couple of options available to those that will join by the way. One is that they can make a contract with me and start up a new venture alongside me but I will be moving around so I will not be remaining in the capital which means they would not be able to settle down so soon.
Two is that they can just follow along to the capital to start up again without my help. Three is that they can work under me on a lower position so they can earn enough and leave when they have found a suitable place for themselves but those that choose this will have less opportunities than those that have made a contract with me."
She was offering each of them the same chances that had been available to others while providing some additional options.
Moving to the capital was just a temporary thing for her and those that went with her would either be left behind or would follow her further once she left.
It was more beneficial to have them bound to a contract if they were much closer to her and became important parts of her future plans so they would gain certain benefits themselves.
Those that were just sticking around to make use of the opportunities would be more limited in the support they would receive, the position they could rise up to and how much more private information they would be exposed to.
The higher their position, the more they were made aware of and the more confidential tasks they were involved in, the more a contract was needed for them to remain loyal and to not expose those secrets.
Blush went on to explain further details but she did not go into greater detail about the contract due to it being a magic contract but she had implied that those who were more serious and wished to be in the inner circle could not back out of it so easily once they joined once they had committed to it.
She gave a meeting place for several days later so they could get themselves prepared for what was to come and then stood up to leave.
While Blush was stepping out of the room, she showed a slightly regretful look and said. "Good luck and this should probably be the last time seeing me so goodbye."
She made one trip to the medicine hall to offer some others that she had valued for their talents the same thing and then stepped back outside.
Once she left the city, Blush transformed into a small bird once she was away from the eyes of others.
A pink bird flew across the sky and travelled far away until it finally flew over a forest.
There was a cave entrance below and she flew down towards it then entered to see the insides. "My treasures! How I have missed you."
In front of her were the remains of what had been left behind and could not take along with her the last time she was there.
The many things were placed into separate boxes that were removed from the magical gourd on her waist and were then sucked inside. "One more place to visit before I can completely say goodbye to this place."
Blush transformed back into a bird and flew away with a tiny gourd hanging from her body.
She passed by the city once again and then continued towards a location that looked very familiar to her but also a little different. "I have returned."
