Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 A grand ceremony

Chapter 56

This was it, the day I am about to get married to Lexar. My heart beated in melodies as I looked myself in the vanity that was placed before me. I was in the midst of maids with different duties to prep me for my big day.

It was all so surreal to me, I couldn't have imagined this a year ago and now it was finally happening.

Oh, look at you Iris "Bryanna taunted with her face lit up in excitement".

I smiled back as she crossed are arms around my shoulders, staring at me through the vanity. I could notice the joy in her face as she embraced me into a warm hug.

You look stunning "she exclaimed examining me head to toe".

Thank you "I said returning the hug".

I am going to miss you so much Iris "she said holding back the tears that filled her eyes".

I am going to miss you too don't cry "I returned slowly wiping of her tears".

I know but, it is just "she exclaimed, bursting out tears".

Now we were both crying, it was our goodbye tears, noticing our gestures the maids excused us both.

Lord gracious, you look perfect "Vivian and Cordelia exclaimed walking into the room".

They both swept us in a thigh hug, I felt much warmth in their embrace that I wished it never end.

The ceremony is starting and the royal priest is ready "Avian stunted as she raced into the room".

We all wiped our tears and gave each other our last hugs.

Avian fixed in the final touches of the dress. Before leading me to the aisle, I begged them all to be my maids of honor to stop the cold feet I was having.

Bryanna and Cordelia held up my dress from behind, while Vivian walked next to me. I could notice the smile on Lexar's face as he watched me troth down the stairs.

I made every single step in elegance as everyone stood up in my honor.

Clinton crossed his arms into mine leading me to my soon to be husband, he took both our hands and placed it on each other.

The priest began the ceremony and pronounced Lexar and I as a happily bonded couple, I felt flutter of waves as I had Lexar's lips on mine, the feeling was so surreal that I didn't want it to stop. Like a hurricane, his kiss was frenzied and all consuming, as if he wanted to do this for far too long.

I could hear the awes and applaud of the guest after the grand kiss.

"I would forever love you" he whispered.

"I would always be there in all crises" I also whispered.

We both took our final vows before taking our first dance.

He crashes me against his chest and we lose ourselves in each others warmth, I was pressed up against his chest as we swayed perfectly in sync. Our hearth pounding. My heart pounded and it was as if I found a piece of me, I didn't know was missing.

As soon as the music ended, he whispered those words have been longing to here "I love you Iris".

"I love you too Lexar" I returned crashing my lips into his' one more time, then I noticed the presence of Calix and his wife.

The ceremony took its pause and it was about time for me to live Philadelphia and start a new life with Lexar in Bulgaria. I waited by the castle exit as cordelilia, Bryana and vivian approached me.

"look who I found" Bryanna said holding Hannah by the hands.

Could you belief she is Calix's daughter "I replied in whispers.

How " Bryanna asked in shock".

Just as I was about to answer her question, some maids approached me.

"your highness, the carriage is ready to depart" they curtseyed.

You would tell me another day "Bryanna exclaimed giving me her last goodbyes".

Cordelia and Vivian also gave their final goodbyes.

Sister Iris I want to go with you please, I don't want to go with mother and father "Hannah pleaded".

Of course, you can "I assured".

Cordelia, Vivian and Bryana were all waving as I made my way to the horse carriage, with Hannah holding on to my hand.

Lexar held on a tight grip with is fingers crossed into mine, the whole trip I noticed how he never took his eyes of me and Hannah would giggle every moment she caught him in the act.

After a long silently awkward ride, we arrived in Bulgaria and the moment I stepped down from the carriage with Hannah holding unto my hands, her mum ran up to me with a sigh of relief, which showed that she had been searching for her.
